MSNBC’s David Corn: Holder Letter To Paul ‘Had a Very Silent FU In It’

Not surprisingly, most of the folks on MSNBC have being having a field day Thursday ridiculing Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for his historic filibuster the day before.

Doing his part on the Martin Bashir show was MSNBC political analyst David Corn who said that Attorney General Eric Holder’s letter to Paul “had a very silent FU in it” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Early in the segment, Bashir read Holder's letter to Paul:

"It has come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: "Does the President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?" The answer to that question is no."

When Bashir concluded, Corn remarked, “That was one of the shortest letters I’ve ever seen from an Attorney General, and I think he had a very silent FU in it somewhere.”

Nice.

That said, it should be noted that Ari Melber of the Nation - much to Bashir's obvious surprise! - actually added some sanity to the discussion accurately depicting the White House’s position on drones as being worthy of the question Paul was asking during his filibuster.

For some reason, folks at the perilously liberal MSNBC for the most part aren’t grasping this simple concept.

Kudos to Melber for being an exception.
