Rosie O’Donnell closed out her week guest hosting ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday by singing President Trump a song and demanding that he resign. Elsewhere in her monologue, O’Donnell also hyped the idea that she has a non-binary-identifying kid who claims to be neither a girl nor a boy.
At the end of her monologue, O’Donnell declared, “I'd like to close—I would like to close my final monologue here with a traditional Irish song dedicated to a very special boy.”
Later, she sings Trump a song to the tune of "Danny Boy," that concludes "But there's a way to end this drama it's time to use that stable genius brain since we all know you'll never be Obama why not resign and make this country great again. While O’Donnell originally wanted to do an "If Only I Had a Brain” parody, ABC nixed that, probably due to copyright concerns. Therefore, O’Donnell sang to the tune of the Irish folk song “Danny Boy.” O’Donnell’s ballad included many attacks on Trump and ended by claiming that he could never measure up to former President Obama, so he might as well resign:
Oh, Donnie boy, it's Rosie, Rosie calling from Hollywood, The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Drop that Big Mac that we all know you're holding because, my dear, I worry for you so. Poor Donnie, boy, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig's a mess. Your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you've bit off more than you can chew. Measles are back. Inflation is a-swelling. You post all night you're sleeping while you work, and what's with all this useless crap you're selling. Hey, sweetie pie, you're driving us all berserk. But there's a way to end this drama. It's time to use that stable genius brain since we all know you'll never be Obama, why not resign and make this country great again. Yes, we all know you'll never be Obama, come on, resign and make this country great again.
Earlier, O’Donnell recalled, “As I told you this week, I have a little 13-year-old with autism who is also non-binary. Non-binary, and they told me that, and I asked them to explain what non-binary was. And they went, ‘Ugh, mom! When you're not a girl and you're not a boy! And by the way, my pronouns are they/them, and I'd like them respected.’”

Words do not appear to have meaning in the O’Donnell home, “Now, I understand. I get that. You know? And I try my best. I really do. But I'm 64 years old. It's hard to get it through an old brain, you know? So, once they told me that, I would make errors. I would say ‘she’ instead of ‘they.’ And they would hold up a cardboard sign with the word ‘They’ on it over their head like they were John Cusack in Say Anything.”
O’Donnell continued lamenting, “I felt so bad. You know, like I have to fix this. So, I came up with an idea. I took their little cardboard sign, and I took my kid, and we went to my cousin's. And I got a tattoo of the world ‘They’ right there on my wrist. You know? So that they would know I care and I'm trying. And I was sure they were going to be touched. And they didn't give two [bleep]s. Could not care less. I go home, and sure enough, I say ‘she’ and they look up from their iPad and go, ‘What a shock, your tattoo isn't working.’"
Whatever childhood and teenage struggles O’Donnell’s child might be experiencing, it is a biological and scientific fact that she is a girl, just as it is a fact that demanding Trump resign via song is less of an attempt at trolling than it is just a commentary on the sad state of liberal comedy.

ROSIE O’DONNELL: As I told you this week, I have a little 13-year-old with autism who is also non-binary. Non-binary, and they told me that, and I asked them to explain what non-binary was. And they went, “Ugh, mom! When you're not a girl and you're not a boy! And by the way, my pronouns are they/them, and I'd like them respected.”
Now, I understand. I get that. You know? And I try my best. I really do. But I'm 64 years old. It's hard to get it through an old brain, you know? So, once they told me that, I would make errors. I would say "she" instead of "they." And they would hold up a cardboard sign with the word "They" on it over their head like they were John Cusack in Say Anything.
I felt so bad. You know, like I have to fix this. So, I came up with an idea. I took their little cardboard sign, and I took my kid, and we went to my cousin's. And I got a tattoo of the world "They" right there on my wrist. You know? So that they would know I care and I'm trying. And I was sure they were going to be touched. And they didn't give two [bleep]s. Could not care less. I go home, and sure enough, I say “she” and they look up from their iPad and go, "What a shock, your tattoo isn't working."

I'd like to close—I would like to close my final monologue here with a traditional Irish song dedicated to a very special boy.
