OMISSION: CBS, NBC Silent on the Swatting of Justice Amy Coney Barrett

During the last administration, there was a surge in threats of violence against members of the Supreme Court who found the left’s pet policy items to be unconstitutional. That surge went substantially underreported in the Elitist Media. Sadly, this trend persists today.

Per NBC News:

An apparent “swatting” incident targeted the home of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Wednesday night, police confirmed to NBC News. 

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, said Thursday that the call was received through the police department’s nonemergency line just after 9 p.m. ET.

“Officers immediately coordinated with Supreme Court Police personnel assigned to the residence and quickly determined that the report was fictitious,” Fairfax County police said in a statement. “No additional police resources were utilized.”

The report goes on to note that the swatter claimed there were shots fired. Additionally, the report memorializes some of the other threats faced against Justice Barrett, and lists some of the other threats faced by justices- including the attempted assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The sole mention of the swatting of Justice Barrett on the Elitist Media evening news- a tiny brief on ABC World News Tonight. Watch that brief as aired on Thursday, May 28th, 2026:

WHIT JOHNSON: Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett becoming the latest high-profile target of a swatting incident. Authorities say a false emergency call sent police rushing to her home. It's just the latest in a growing wave of hoax threats targeting public officials. The incident is now under investigation.

And that’s it. 16 seconds on World News Tonight. 16 seconds at the bottom of A-block right before cutting to commercial, buried under fake controversy over the proposed Trump $250 bill and the viral story of the Florida woman with no right arm that got ticketed for allegedly holding a phone in her right hand. And yet that scant 16 seconds was 16 seconds more than what ran on CBS, NBC, or PBS.

Thus the Elitist Media continue their shameful tradition of barely covering or not covering the ongoing campaign of terror against the Supreme Court, which cuts one way and one way only. Always remember that what the Elitist Media don’t cover is often as important or more so than what they actually cover. This is what makes bias by omission so insidious. And dangerous.
