With the liberal media making a full court push to make President Trump’s health an issue this week, the Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View tried to rewrite the history of the Biden presidency and downplay his mental decline and sleeping fits. On Wednesday’s episode, co-host Joy Behar scoffed at the idea that Biden had ever dozed off as president. Meanwhile, The View doctored a NewsBusters X post playing along with the meme showing media folks ‘falling asleep’ on set.
While co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin had mentioned President Biden’s disastrous debate performance that sank his reelection ambitions, Behar interrupted her and demanded to know when Biden had ever fallen asleep while doing his duties:
BEHAR (interrupting): Wait a second. Joe Biden didn't fall asleep, did he?
FARAH GRIFFIN: He did -
[Crosstalk]
SARA HAINES (interrupting): Trump called him Sleepy Joe.
BEHAR: Yeah, but -
FARAH GRIFFIN: I'm making the point -
HAINES (interrupting): He might have been Blinky Joe.
The View claims Biden never fell asleep and that "He oversaw an historic economy that produced over 16 million jobs." pic.twitter.com/ez6IVshRGO

Well Joy, here’s Biden falling asleep while meeting with the leaders of African nations in Angola. Here’s Biden falling asleep at late President Jimmy Carter’s funeral at the National Cathedral. Here’s a video from The Telegraph showing Biden falling asleep at the COP26 summit in Glasgow.
“I'm sorry. I just want to point out what sleepy Joe got done while he was asleep,” proclaimed ABC News moderator Whoopi Goldberg as she pulled out and read from a literal card of Democratic Party talking points about how great the Biden years were, even boasting about the economy:
He oversaw an historic economy that produced over 16 million jobs. He passed bipartisan infrastructure bills, revitalized NATO, and rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement, codified federal protections for same-sex marriage, signed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in decades. That's what he did when he was asleep.
First, Biden didn’t create 16 million jobs. Event the never-Trump publication The Dispatch noted that the vast majority of the jobs number was the economy coming back online when the COVID lockdowns were being lifted. Second, Biden did not revitalize NATO. The pressure Trump put on NATO to actually invest in their collective defense during his first term was what spurred on their spending sprees.
Alyssa Farah Griffin argues that, like Biden, "Trump is getting things done. We just don't like what he's getting done."

The View once argued that a "braindead" Biden was better than Trump, and hot they say they "worry" about Trump's fitness for office. pic.twitter.com/sfiQmrrjqC
This wasn’t the first time The View flaunted their double standard on presidential fitness for office. They’d even argued that a braindead “drooling” Biden was better “than any Republican.”
Additionally, during the episode, The View took issue with the official White House Rapid Response 47 account on X for giving the media a taste of their own medicine by sharing pictures of media folks blinking and saying they were sleeping.
Goldberg falsely claimed “They posted one of you too, Joy” and showed an image of the account with a picture of Behar with her eyes closed (pictured above).
But that was a lie.
What actually happened was Rapid Response 47 reposted a NewsBusters image taking part in the meme as well. “Joy Behar (83) fell asleep during today's episode of The View,” this author joked, to which the account responded: “Wow! Poor health?”

Not only did The View doctor out the original poster of the image, they also doctored the imaged that was shared. The original had a Media Research Center watermark in the upper right-hand corner, but the one they shared on-air did not. That mean they either went back in their own footage and swapped in their own screen shot, or they had A.I. remove it.

They even read from the comment section of Rapid Response 47’s report to boast about how commenters admired that Behar looked good for 83. As noted above, the repost did not mention Behar’s age, but the original post did.
As further proof that they doctored my post, Sunny Hostin reads comments referencing that Joy Behar is 83. The Rapid Response 47 account didn't mention that fact, my post did and the commenters were reading it. pic.twitter.com/QUB8OjXQZg

They went through all that work just to hide the thorn in their side.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I think these are legitimate questions to ask and Dr. Reiner who was raising these questions also raised questions about Joe Biden's capacity when that was a debate, so this is someone who's been consistent to say when -
JOY BEHAR (interrupting): Wait a second. Joe Biden didn't fall asleep, did he?
FARAH GRIFFIN: He did -
[Crosstalk]
SARA HAINES (interrupting): Trump called him Sleepy Joe.
BEHAR: Yeah, but -
FARAH GRIFFIN: I'm making the point -
HAINES (interrupting): He might have been Blinky Joe.
FARAH GRIFFIN: - he has been consistent as a medical professional. This isn’t somebody with Trump Derangement Syndrome just coming after Trump. This is also someone who wrote an op-ed saying there are legitimate questions about the health of Joe Biden. And I think we need to be able to have those discussions for the highest office in the land.
[Crosstalk]
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I'm sorry. I just want to point out what sleepy Joe got done while he was asleep.
SUNNY HOSTIN: Oh, good.
GOLDBERG: He oversaw an historic economy that produced over 16 million jobs. He passed bipartisan infrastructure bills, revitalized NATO, and rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement, codified federal protections for same-sex marriage, signed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in decades. That's what he did when he was asleep.
[Applause]
FARAH GRIFFIN: I think we all agree at this table, Donald Trump is getting things done. We just don't like what he's getting done. So, I don't know if getting things done is the barometer --
GOLDBERG: Let's remind the people what he is getting done.
BEHAR: Yeah.
GOLDBERG: He's got several wars going.
HOSTIN: He definitely started an unconstitutional and illegal war.
GOLDBERG: That nobody said they wanted to do. He’s building arches and ballrooms and -
HOSTIN: He’s got a slush fund - a billion dollar slush fund put together.
[Crosstalk]
GOLDBERG: When you talk about a president, we want our president to get stuff done. There are things you can do that not everybody is going to agree on, it's just the way it is because we're a two-party system. We don't agree with everything. Our own people do or what the others do.
HOSTIN: Yeah.
GOLDBERG: But I have to say this other one, I am worried about him because I don't know what this means.
