The stochastic terrorists of ABC’s The View were up in arms on Tuesday after Republican Senator and vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance called on liberals “to tone down the rhetoric” and “cut this crap out,” which had led to two assassination attempts on former President Trump. According to the liberal ladies, Trump was somehow responsible for the assassination attempts on himself and no one else’s rhetoric needed to be moderated.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, who once attacked Trump’s grandkids for daring to portray their grandfather as human, lashed out at Vance and suggested Trump was responsible for the political violence:
J.D., clearly you’ve not been to one of your boss's rallies, because you believe this insanity. I mean, he has been inciting violence since 2016 telling them to beat up hecklers, threaten to shoot looters and migrants…YOU have to really take a look in a mirror to see the reflection…So, quit blaming folks until you decide to take a look at what's coming out of your mouth!
Despite the fact that Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R) had already came out and explained that the bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio were all hoaxes carried out by people in foreign countries, Goldberg falsely claimed Trump was “sending people” to threaten the community.
Ignoring the fact that only the Republican presidential candidate had been the target of repeated assassination attempts, co-host Joy Behar engaged in stochastic terrorism by insisting that the GOP will bring "fascism" to America, were worse than criminals in "the mob," and that they were the ones who needed to stop the violence:
And you know, to me today coming in here I'm thinking, this has become absurd now! We –there's -- The political violence is a prelude to fascism. That happens in every country. I'm not making this up. And its time for Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Mike Johnson, and Mitch McConnell to step up and – and be men.
Robert de Niro was on television the other day. I love Robert de Niro. He said the mob has a code of ethics. These people do not even have that!
Faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin refused to defend Trump and the other conservatives who were on the receiving end of liberal assassination attempts, like Justice Kavanaugh and former Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-NY). Instead, she blamed Trump’s rhetoric for the attempt on his own life:
Donald Trump is one of the most powerful figures in America. He could very well be the president again. He is the only person with that level of responsibility and platform who’s not holding himself accountable to how he's fed this rhetoric. I get there have been left-wing comedians who have done things that are disgraceful, activists, et cetera, but they're not running to be president of the United States.
Contrary to Farah Griffin’s false claims, it was more than just some “comedians” did some things. As NewsBusters has long documented, The View has been a cozy home for calls of political violence: they’ve talked about killing pro-lifers, assassinating justices, denounced increasing security for conservative justices, and touted effigies being blooded and defaced.
For her part, pretend moderate Sara Haines insanely lied about the second shooter being a Trump supporter. While he may have voted for Trump in 2016, he had clearly had a change of heart since he had exclusively given to Democrats, supported the Biden/Harris ticket, and, most obviously, tried to kill Trump.
“So, you got to deduce on your own what part they're knowingly misleading and where the truth is,” she proclaimed without an ounce of self-reflection.
In closing out the segment, Goldberg became unglued and started shouting about how there was supposedly no political violence coming from the left, and that Trump and Vance were bringing the assassination attempts on themselves:
And also, let's stop this thing. You know, let's stop this both sides stuff because it's not correct! It is not both sides! It is one clear side! And you can point to many, many reports, you can point to all kinds of stuff that's been reported! You guys have to -- you have to pull it back! This is not us or them! This is you got to stop doing what you're doing, J.D.! And what you're doing Mr. T.! Because – You are – you are – you are not helping the situation!
Of course, that was a lie.

SEN. J.D. VANCE (R-OH): You know the big difference between conservatives and liberals is that we -- no one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months, and two people now have tried to kill Donald Trump in the last couple of months. I'd say that's pretty strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the rhetoric and needs to cut this crap out.
[Cuts back to live]
[Audience reacts negatively]
JOY BEHAR: The audience is appalled.
ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: Literally jaws dropping in our audience.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I mean. J.D., clearly you’ve not been to one of your boss's rallies, because you believe this insanity.
[Applause]
I mean, he has been inciting violence since 2016 telling them to beat up hecklers, threaten to shoot looters and migrants. They have -- I don't remember Bill Clinton [muted for expletives] about what was going on in his White House when it was sprayed in – in – by – with – by 29 shots. I don't remember Obama blaming opponents when his White House was shot up in 2011.
YOU have to really take a look in a mirror to see the reflection. One of the reasons that everybody has survived is because the Secret Service has been doing their job. Let’s start with that.
[Applause]
That's, you know – So, quit blaming folks until you decide to take a look at what's coming out of your mouth! You didn't want to tell people that it was a lie that you've been talking about when you -- you're sending people to – to go against folks in – in
BEHAR: The Haitian immigrants.
GOLDBERG: in – in the community, in Ohio.
(…)
BEHAR: No, no, no, no. No, no, no. You are lying and making up stories.
SUNNY HOSTIN: Yeah.
BEHAR: And you know, to me today coming in here I'm thinking, this has become absurd now!
It is outrageous that this has gotten to this point where the – where the guy has had two assassination attempts. Okay. I don't want that to happen. I don't want any of this violence to happen.
HOSTIN: I don't any --
BEHAR: But these people need to step up. They have the power to do something.
FARAH GRIFFIN: That’s the point. It is – it is – Thank God Donald Trump was okay and thank God that Secret Service stepped in.
We've been living in a moment of political violence for sometime. In my short career in politics: Gabby givered, the congressional baseball shooting, shots fired at the Obama White House, pipe bombs sent to political journalists, January 6 when they were chanting hang Mike pence – my former boss, a man that I deeply care about – and then two assassination attempts on Donald Trump.
The difference is: Donald Trump is one of the most powerful figures in America. He could very well be the president again. He is the only person with that level of responsibility and platform who’s not holding himself accountable to how he's fed this rhetoric.
I get there have been left-wing comedians who have done things that are disgraceful, activists, et cetera, but they're not running to be president of the United States. He and Kamala Harris – it’s a higher bar for them. And I'm sorry, she's not engaging in the rhetoric that he is. She put out a statement as did Joe Biden.
SARA HAINES: They called to check in!
FARAH GRIFFIN: That's what leaders do is that they bring the temperature down.
HOSTIN: Can I reframe the conversation in a sense? Because they're saying the Democrats, the left – the left side has to stop the rhetoric. And I think what we need to reframe this is, what is rhetoric and what is fact?
(…)
SARA HAINES: Then it's also like fake news versus truth you're uncomfortable with. Decisions you've made. Because it wasn't just the migrant thing that J.D. Vance did. This – If you look at the two assassination attempts, the first one was someone who shopped around for both candidates' location and found one that was convenient. The second one was a Trump supporter who had become really unhappy with Donald Trump and some of his – his decisions in the – in Ukraine.
HOSTIN: He voted for him in 2016.
HAINES: And voted for him. So you got to deduce on your own what part they're knowingly misleading and where the truth is.
GOLDBERG: And also, let's stop this thing. T.! Because –
BEHAR: Mr. T.
GOLDBERG: You are – you are – you are not helping the situation! We'll be right back.
