Media Beg Kamala Not To Talk Policy, Declare 2024 a ‘Vibes Election’

Kamala Harris did her CNN interview, so now the legacy media would appreciate it if we could all please stop asking her to speak in public again. The journalists are terrified of her talking policy, lest she alienate her base, independents, or both.

To justify their desperate pleading that she avoid discussion of actual political issues, the media have declared 2024 a “vibes election” year, in which policy is meaningless and the incumbent candidate can run on vague notions of “joy” and “hope,” rather than her actual record.

But even unscripted talk of joy might be too much for Harris. At least, her supporters in the commentariat seem to think so. That’s why they’ve been insisting that she avoid any sit-down interviews. It’s also why, despite their lame attempts at spinning last night’s two-on-one with Dana Bash as a plus for her, they’ve redoubled their efforts in discouraging their favorite candidate from any more press events.
