A scientist who routinely challenges the mainstream narrative on the COVID-19 pandemic said he was temporarily banned from Twitter.
Tony Heller is a geologist and engineer who uses the “same skill set and techniques to analyze climate science claims” that he uses in science and engineering. As a scientist, Heller has been skeptical of the left’s panicked claims that climate change will soon destroy the world.
Since the pandemic began, Heller has challenged the left’s narrative on COVID-19 and argued that the unvaccinated are not primarily responsible for its spread.
“Projections and predictions from academics are not science - they are propaganda,” he tweeted.
A recent tweet of Heller’s was labeled “misleading” and users were unable to leave comments under the tweet or share it.
“The claimed purpose of vaccine passports is to prevent the spread of the virus, but vaccinated people are more likely to be infected than unvaccinated,” he tweeted. “If government were doing this for public health, they would lock down vaccinated instead of unvaccinated.”
Heller said he simply quoted a study from the UK government that suggested vaccinated individuals over the age of 30 tested positive for COVID-19 more often than unvaccinated individuals.
Heller said his account was locked for seven days for “violating the Twitter Rules.” Bizarrely, the platform reportedly said the account was locked for violating rules related to personal profile information, such as name, biography, location and username.
Heller said YouTube has censored him multiple times for his views on COVID-19 and its vaccines.
