More and more people are starting to see the LGBTQ/cancel culture mafia for what it is. One female rapper recently slammed LGBTQ activists for “bullying” straight people, and even proposed starting a “Heterosexual Rights Movement” to combat the constant negativity coming their way.
“Lip Gloss” rapper Lil’ Mama expressed her desire for a “Heterosexual Rights Movement” on Instagram on March 19, arguing that the pro-LGBTQ mob had been making it hard for straight people to stand up for traditional views on sex. “I’m about to start a Heterosexual Rights Movement,” the rapper said, in order to combat what she called “anti-LGBTQ Bullying.” The entertainer wrote that “some” LGBTQ activists, though “NOT ALL get a kick out bullying other for having an option [sic].”
Lil’ Mama was clearly referencing “cancel culture;'' that ugly phenomenon whereby people can have their reputations and sometimes even their livelihoods ruined for their politically incorrect opinions. The rapper wrote, “there are so many people afraid to give their honest opion [sic] because if they do the LGBTQ+ will hear what they want to hear and take statements out of context.”
Yep, that sounds like cancel culture. The same thing happened to former left-wing champion and Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling for arguing that trans activists are destroying the concept of biological womanhood by insisting that a trans woman is the same thing as a biological woman. Since then she has been labeled a transphobe by the left, including some of the actors who played her legendary characters in the Harry Potter movie adaptations.
A similar thing happened to lefty former Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, though her political incorrectness involved a racial sensitivity issue from when she was a teenager. Either way, the bullying was the same: lefties dragged up her decade-old comments and used them to pressure her to step down from her position as editor in chief at Teen Vogue. Amazingly, not even a liberal woman of color like McCammond could avoid being cancelled.
Lil’ Mama attempted to get social media users to understand that her perspective is not about being anti-LGBTQ in any way, it’s just about allowing people to be able to express themselves on social media freely. She added, “I don’t have to prove myself by reminding people that I have loved ones of the LGBTQ+ community. When I speak, I’m not trying to hurt anyone, I’m just speaking my truth, just like you all."
Previously, the Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta star shared a post which asked, “So children are too young to smoke cigarettes, too young to drink alcohol, too young to get a drivers license, too young to go to a club, too young to gamble, too young to rent a car, but old enough to cut off their genitals and/or ‘change’ their gender?”
Lil’ Mama better be careful if she wants to stay in showbiz with opinions like that.
