Since Sunday, the liberal media have been having a Chernobyl level meltdown over an internet video of seemingly unknown origin that used a violent movie scene to depict President Trump killing political opponents and media outlets. Even though there was no apparent connection to the President, and his Press Secretary says he didn’t even see it, NBC Nightly News tried desperately to tie it to him in some way.
While the report couldn’t show any evidence that Trump was involved in the production or promotion of the video, anchor Lester Holt began the segment by declaring “the White House is trying to distance the President from a disturbing video showing a likeness of him violently attacking his political opponents and the news media.”
Um, you’re the ones trying to pin it on him.
At the start of the report, chief White House correspondent Hallie Jackson told viewers:
It's a video so violent, we can only show a few seconds of it. President Trump's face superimposed on to a shooter's body inside what's described as the “church of fake news.” In a graphic scene, he shoots, stabs, bludgeons, and, in one instance, lights on fire depictions of his political opponents, like Bernier Sanders and Hillary Clinton, and news organizations like The Washington Post and NBC News.
She did all that while words like “shoots,” “stabs,” and “lights on fire” appeared next to a picture of Trump. Jackson would go on to skeptically say “The Trump campaign says it did not produce the video, which appears to be based off the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service.”
Well, it didn’t just “appear” to be from the movie, it was from the movie. The scene went on for over three minutes as the main character slaughtered the members of a Christian congregation in a church.
Showing no concern for what the original Hollywood production created, Jackson tried to frame a narrative that Trump was trying to incite violence:
REP. ERIC SWALWELL (D-CA): It puts lives at risk. It's not who we are as people.
REP. RODNEY DAVIS (R-IL): I think it's a tragedy. It should be denounced by the administration.
JACKSON: President Trump has blasted what he calls fake news.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: It truly is the enemy of the people. [Transition] The enemy of the people. [Transition] They are the enemy of the people.
Then shouldn’t NBC be saying the same thing about the movie the video came from?
“And two years ago [the President] tweeted this controversial meme pretending to body slam a CNN logo,” Jackson added before noting: “The White House Press Secretary says the President ‘has not seen this newest video yet … but based on everything he has heard, he strongly condemns it.’”
Jackson concluded by bizarrely whining about how “President Trump has not publicly denounced the clip despite tweeting more than two dozen times today, including about Dancing With The Stars.”
While she was trying to make connections without evidence, her fellow White House correspondent Kristen Welker argued “there has never been evidence of” Hunter Biden profiting off of the fact former Vice President Joe Biden was his father. She then reported that “Hunter announcing over the weekend, through his attorney, he will step down from the board of a Chinese investment company by the end of the month.”
There’s also the fact that Hunter was hired to the board of a Ukrainian energy company when he had no expertise in the industry or the country.

WELKER: The President has accused the younger Biden who had business dealings in Ukraine and China of profiting off of his father when Biden was vice president. There has never been evidence of that. Still, Hunter announcing over the weekend, through his attorney, he will step down from the board of a Chinese investment company by the end of the month.

For his part, former Vice President Biden pledged no family members would have West Wing offices in any future administration of his. Nor would they have conflicting business interests with any foreign entities.

The New York Times, which first reported on the video, said it was played at a pro-Trump conference by an outside group at the President's resort in Miami last week. Both sides of the isle disgusted.
