Press Ignores Loretta Lynch's Call For 'Ordinary People' to March, Bleed and Die

March 7th, 2017 11:26 AM

Imagine, if it's even possible to, that in March 2009, former Bush 43 Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez or John Ashcroft had posted a video telling the newly formed grassroots opposition to President Barack Obama's policies that their ancestors "had marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died" for their beliefs, and that "We can do this again." We all know that media and establishment reaction to such a posting would have been instant and furious, and unequivocally interpreted as a call to violence — unlike the virtual non-reaction to former Obama AG Loretta Lynch's video, which called for folks sympathetic to her version of American "ideals" to "do this again."

Here is that Lynch video, which was posted to the U.S. Senate Democrats Facebook page on a week ago on February 28:

Transcript (bolds are mine):

FORMER OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ATTORNEY GENERAL LORETTA LYNCH: I know that this is a time of great fear and uncertainty for so many people. I know it’s a time of concern for people who see our rights being assailed, being trampled on, and even being rolled back. I know that this is difficult, but I remind you that this has never been easy. We have always had to work to move this country forward to achieve the great ideals of our Founding Fathers.

And it has been people, individuals who have banded together, ordinary people who simply saw what needed to be done, and came together and supported those ideals who have made the difference. They’ve marched, they’ve bled and yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.

Based on searches done on Lynch's full name (not in quotes), the former AG's disturbing statement, and its de facto endorsement by U.S. Senate Democrats, is not news at the New York Times, the Associated Press, or the Washington Post.

To the extent that it's getting any attention from the establishment and far-left blogs at all, it's to claim that what Lynch said in her video isn't what she said.

One of the worst such offenders is Snopes.com, which we must remind readers is one of Facebook's five designated "fake news" sleuths.

Snopes has sunk so low and has become so fundamentally dishonest that it declared "False" claims that Democratic House members Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Keith Ellison sat through and didn't clap during the second ovation for Carryn Owens and her heroic husband Ryan Owens's ultimate sacrifice during President Donald Trump's February 28 speech to a joint session of Congress. Townhall's Matt Vespa has posted the definitive takedown of that disgraceful nonsense: "Sorry Liberals, Ellison and DWS Remained Seated During Roughly Two-Minute Standing Ovation Honoring Fallen Navy SEAL's Widow."

One clue that that the website's Loretta Lynch "fact check" is shaky is that it contains no true or false evaluation. Instead, Arturo Garcia at Snopes attempts to mangle the grammar:

We reached out both to Lynch’s representatives and the Senate Democratic Caucus seeking comment, but Lynch’s wording that “They’ve marched, they’ve bled, and yes, some of them died” appears to be a reference to the deaths of activists who took part in the Civil Rights movement and not an exhortation that dissenters should engage in extreme violence to oppose current administration actions.

Readers can see from the transcript above that Lynch said, "This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again."

The Obama administration's former Attorney General, a lawyer who has spent her professional life wrestling with the specific meanings of words, was vague. One must assume, based on her background, that her vagueness was deliberate. Her statement has wiggle room for plausible deniability while appearing to cheer on far-left martyr wannabe romantics just waiting for signs of encouragement from a prominent leftist leader to instigate and carry out violence.

Garcia's next paragraph indicates how determined he is to distort history:

Donald Trump’s election on November 2016 was greeted with multiple protests around the U.S. More than 200 people were arrested following demonstrations against his inauguration on 20 January 2017.

Garcia wants readers to believe that the 200 arrests in Washington occurred because protesters were involved in "demonstrations." Hardly. 230 people were arrested, and "most" face charges of felony rioting. Those who have been so charged face prison sentences of up to 10 years if convicted.

As noted in the introduction, we wouldn't have virtual press silence and absurd exercises in excuse-driven "fact-checking" if either of Bush 43's AGs had made a similar video in March 2009.

Lynch appears to be in the early stages of traveling down the path of another Democratic President's former attorney general.

Ramsey Clark served as Lyndon Johnson's AG for just over two years ending in January 1969. After several years of trying and failing to win political office, he spent his post-government career defending terrorists and terrorist regimes while advocating for the usual litany of leftist causes. The International Action Center, which he founded in 1992, is his most toxic legacy.

Yet we're supposed to believe that this isn't newsworthy, especially given Lynch's known and alleged actions during her final year in office.
