October 11th, 2017 5:42 PM

Today’s Trump Bashing Media Thought It Was Awful to Bash Obama in 2009

October 9th, 2017 9:07 AM
Over the past several months, journalists have had no qualms about attacking President Trump on a deeply personal level, calling him an “embarrassing” “unhinged” “liar,” a “sociopath” and a “madman” presiding over a “malignant presidency.” But eight years ago, many of these same reporters were offended at criticism of Barack Obama and his policies, scorning the “mean,” “ugly,” “offensive” “…

Time: ‘Does Neil Gorsuch Talk Too Much?’

October 5th, 2017 6:38 PM
Liberal journalists are worried about Neil Gorsuch. The October 16 issue of Time magazine fretted of the newly-minted conservative justice: “Does Justice Neil Gorsuch talk too much?" Writer Tessa Berenson touted liberal critics complaining about Gorsuch “ruffling some feathers.”

Novelist on 2016: I Was 'in This Manic Zombie/Teary/Rager Dream State'

October 3rd, 2017 4:42 PM
Remember all those hilarious online liberal meltdown videos you laughed at just after the unthinkable (for them) happened on Election Day 2016? Well, good news. We are in for more such laughs provided in melodramatic literary form from novelist and yuuuge Hillary Clinton supporter, Cheryl Strayed. She tells us about her post-election meltdown that was so severe that it sent her to bed crying for…

Fifty Years at One Magazine

September 28th, 2017 4:35 PM
WASHINGTON -- On the occasion of my 50th anniversary of founding and editing The American Spectator, I feel moved to reflect on the parlous condition of the magazine business. We celebrated our anniversary this week, and naturally I composed my reflections before the event. What makes this column something more than an occasion for indulgence is that the sickly condition of magazines is, of a…

MSNBC: Trump’s NFL Remarks = Conspiracy to Activate Racist Americans

September 28th, 2017 2:49 PM
On Thursday’s Morning Joe, Willie Geist solo-hosted a segment where he and the rest of the panel supposedly got to the bottom of Trump’s NFL comments opposing football players protesting during the performance of the National Anthem: it was all a dastardly plot to appeal to Americans’ inherent racism and thereby distract them from the fact that Trump is trying to hurt them with terrible policies.

NYT’s ‘Red Century’ Op-Ed Lauds Commie ‘Emancipation’ of Women

September 27th, 2017 5:05 PM
In its roughly 30th installment of "Red Century," a weekly series of op-eds dedicated to the notion that 20th century communism wasn't all that bad, the New York Times performed a bit of perhaps inadvertent recycling. On Monday, Helen Gao, in an item the Times appears to have had the good sense to keep out of its print edition, argued, with "crucial caveats" (but not enough of them) that "the…

DC Media Covered Up Sally Quinn's Occultism, Hex-Casting For Decades

September 19th, 2017 1:23 AM
The reception given to Sally Quinn's new book, Finding Magic, has been strangely quiet. Perhaps that's because the book shamelessly reveals that since 1973, if not earlier, Quinn, who was the nation's capital's de facto social gatekeeper for several decades, deceived the world about the true nature of her "religious" outlook, and did so with the help of the rest of the Washington press corps —…

Time Honors Hillary With 'Firsts' Interview...and the Bitterness Flows

September 11th, 2017 3:32 PM
Time magazine’s September 18 issue is devoted to “Firsts: Women Who Are Changing the World.” The largest spread of text and photography was for Hillary Rodham Clinton, the first woman to win a major party’s nomination for president. The pull quote was inspirational, in powder blue, at the top of the page: “I don’t want anyone to be discouraged by my defeat. We can’t give up trying.” But the…

Media Use Hurricane Harvey to Blast Exxon, Hype Climate Alarmism

Business
August 30th, 2017 12:30 PM
As Houston lays flooded by Hurricane Harvey, the liberal media and climate alarmists raced to connect the natural disaster to their manmade global warming agenda in spite of scientific disagreement. On broadcast and cable news, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Thomas Roberts, CBS fill-in co-host Dana Jacobson, CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin and others tried to link Harvey to human-caused global warming. The Los…

TIME Correspondent: Trump Has Only Been Presidential ‘for About a Day’

August 29th, 2017 6:15 AM
Ever since Donald Trump won the presidential race last November 4, legions of people in the “mainstream media” have been on a never-ending quest to bring down the GOP leader, and they’re even willing to assign “faint praise” as a means of leading into harsh criticism. The most recent person to use that strategy is Philip Elliott, a Washington correspondent for TIME magazine.

Time Promotes Liberal, Pro-LGBTQ Evangelist as the Authentic Christian

August 23rd, 2017 10:54 AM
The liberal media’s favorite Christians are the liberal Christians, the ones who think there’s too much emphasis on abortion and homosexuality....and are fine with both. Time’s “Ten Questions” interview in the August 28 issue features "Texas pastor" Jen Hatmaker, a liberal author and blogger who’s horrified by Donald Trump and thinks evangelicals need to loosen up. The pull quote in the magazine…

When Do Internet Surveys Count? When the Liberal Media Likes Them

July 10th, 2017 4:45 PM
Throughout the 2016 election, journalists were technically correct and yet unrelenting in their criticism of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s reliance on the accuracy of entirely insignificant and unscientific surveys that reflected well on his candidacy and debate performances. On September 27, for instance, CNN posted a “fact-check” article, arguing that Trump “[misled] people by…

Time.com: Hodgkinson's 'Motive Is Still Unclear'

June 15th, 2017 12:25 PM
On Tuesday, Time Inc. announced yet another in a long series of corporate downsizings. Wednesday evening, a horrid post by Time.com reporters Melissa Chan and Jennifer Calfas on "What to Know About Suspected Virginia Shooter James Hodgkinson" illustrated why the parent company is and deserves to be a continually shrinking enterprise.
