Ed Schultz: Liberals 'Ecstatic' While Americans Suffer Through Shutdow

Two words tied together that make one of the best arguments around for conservatism -- "Ed Schultz." The lefty radio talker and MSNBC action hero often rails against the idiocy of others, their only common denominator being that they don't share his reverence for Obama-era redistribution. What makes Schultz so entertaining is that it's only a matter of time during one of his windy rants that he…

Jesse Jackson: Tea Party-Led GOP is 'Resurrection of the Confederacy

The Vietnam War is beloved by liberals, Ann Coulter once observed, because it's the only war America lost. Looks like the Civil War could become the left's new fave, if it hasn't already. Not only have left wingers deluded themselves that Barack Obama is the second coming of the Great Emancipator (Steven Spielberg's unstated motive for filming "Lincoln"), they now view the partial government…

'Ted Cruz is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed' Declares Unusually Unhinged Thom

.... and the envelope please for Most Overwrought Hyperbole from Left-Wing Radio Host Rendered Deranged by Government Shutdown ... the winner is .... Thom Hartmann ... and it was the unanimous decision of our judges! (cue applause) Alas, Hartmann will be unable to accept the award in person, seeing how the ceremony conflicted with the next round of his strictly monitored medication schedule…

Boehner is a Weepy Unstable Drunk, Sneers Libtalker Randi Rhodes

How do you know you're winning an argument with a liberal? When she resorts to cheap shots and personal attacks. Come to think of it, that's how you know you're talking to one. Randi Rhodes, long known as one of the dimmer lights on the left, realizes that she has to go beyond liberal talking points to garner attention. So she'll occasionally up the ante in a feeble bid to remind those who'd…

Oh So Sensitive Liberals Smear Marcus Bachmann with Gay-Baiting Slurs

Bill Press shouldn't hold his breath waiting to be named marshal in any upcoming gay pride parades. The ex-"Crossfire" host and his radio show producer took time from their daily adoration of cradle-to-grave government dependency to malign the husband of GOP congresswoman Michele Bachmann in a manner that would lead to harassment, torched effigies and threats of violence if any conservative…

Ed Schultz Touts Obamacare Snafus as ... 'the Free Market Working

On average, Ed Schultz is good for at least one belly laugh per week, though this number drops steeply when measured among the turgid types who flock to MSNBC and aren't in on the joke. Schultz hit his quota early this week while hyperventilating about the health exchanges mandated by Obamacare. Pay no attention to those many glitches and long waits for callers that accompanied rollout of the…

GOP 'Trying to Blow Your Children Up,' Spews Libtalker Stephanie Mille

A sure sign that Dear Leader in the White House is under siege? His most ardent followers in media are sounding like denizens of Radio Rwanda circa 1994. Latest example -- liberal radio host Stephanie Miller, aka the "Sexy Liberal" (yes, she actually calls herself that) upping the ante with a bedwetter of a caller who feared for his children's safety because of the partial government shutdown. (…

Don't Like Obamacare? Just 'Opt Out,' Sharpton Shrugs

If Obamacare is as glorious and transformative as its most vocal proponents claim, why do they skirt the truth about it? The state-run health exchanges mandated by the legislation take effect today -- and coinciding with their appearance are laughable claims about the law from its chief apologists in media. (Audio clips after the jump)

Ed Schultz Wants Unions Exempt from Obamacare

You'd be hard-pressed to find a bigger cheerleader in media for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, than Ed Schultz. Hardly a day has passed in three years since the law was enacted that Schultz has not touted its magnificence on his radio show and cable program on MSNBC. Those familiar with Schultz's huff-and-puff shtick know that he's got another soft spot -- for…

NPR Touts Obama Using Navy Yard Memorial Service to Boost Gun Control

On Monday's Morning Edition, NPR's Scott Horsley boosted President Obama's push for new gun control measures at the Sunday memorial service for the victims of the mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard. Horsley played four soundbites of Obama bemoaning the apparent lack of action on this issue, while including just one clip from the NRA's Wayne LaPierre. The correspondent also asserted…

NPR 'Listener Advocate' Tells Complaining Listeners They Don't Have 'F

NPR ombudsman Edward Schumacher-Matos addressed the issue of bias, but only on whether NPR should accept “enhanced underwriting” – commercials – from Al-Jazeera America. The advocate for the listeners told them they don't have "free speech values." He basically said critics of the network are destroyers of free speech, and should stop complaining: “Whether NPR should even accept the…

Ed Schultz Rants That He Didn't Rant During Meeting with Obama

It's one thing for Ed Schultz to march way out of lockstep with his MSNBC colleagues on guns. Today he accused one of them with getting it flat-out wrong in claiming that Schultz's remarks during a meeting with President Obama in 2011 were perceived by the president as disrespectful. In his new book, "The Message: The Reselling of President Obama," Richard Wolffe, executive editor of MSNBC.…

Turns Out Ed Schultz is Conservative - On Guns

This won't go over well at MSNBC to say the least. In the wake of Monday's shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard, radio libtalker Ed Schultz, who also hosts an MSNBC cable show, wasted little time in saying further restrictions on gun owners would be pointless. (Audio after the jump)

Establishment Press Virtually Ignores Occupy Movement's Second Anniver

A 6 p.m. Google News search on "Occupy Movement" (not in quotes, sorted by date) returned 69 items dated September 16 and 17. The same search adding the word "capitalism" returned only two items. This is odd, because, as one of the two items returned noted, "capitalism" — as in ending it — is the core platform of the few who remain involved with the two year-old movement.
