The PBS-branded "American icon" Ken Burns appeared on Wednesday’s Today on NBC to plug his latest book of photographs, Our America: A Photographic History. This 5.75-pound coffee-table book will set you back $75 ($65 at Amazon). At Amazon, you can find the PBS logo hawking several Ken Burns products -- pretty slick for "non-commercial" TV. 

On Friday's Amanpour & Co., Sara Sidner devoted a segment to promoting the agenda of a gun control advocate as the fill-in host made no serious effort to challenge her liberal guest's claims.

On Wednesday's Amanpour & Co. show, interviewer Walter Isaacson gave Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) a forum to make a misleading push for gun control as the two discussed the recent 10-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook school massacre.

On Friday, PBS NewsHour anchor Judy Woodruff asked their regular pundits David Brooks and Jonathan Capehart who should be on Santa's Naughty List and Nice List. Brooks suggested a model train set for "long-suffering, neglected" White House chief of staff Ron Klain, since "The White House has had a good year."

On Tuesday's PBS NewsHour, the show devoted a segment to an LGBT activist who has been defending drag shows against efforts by conservatives to restrict their ability to involve children.

Appearing as a guest on Thursday's Amanpour & Co., New York Times reporter Elizabeth Williamson called for regulations requiring social media to police misinformation, but, in her analysis, she only listed examples of right-wing misinformation and conspiracy theories as she was oblivious to similar activity on the left.

In just the latest evidence that the PBS NewsHour has a Friday night panel of liberal echoes, their pundits Jonathan Capehart and David Brooks completely agreed that Democrats should stop being a "big pain in the rear end" and back "successful" President Biden for a second term in 2024. 

On the PBS chat show Amanpour & Co., Christiane Amanpour interviewed filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, promoting her HBO documentary Pelosi in the House. She implied Fox News and social media inspired January 6 and the attack on her father, Paul Pelosi. She claimed "social media has destroyed the fabric of our society."

Nobel Peace Prize winner and former CNN reporter Maria Ressa continued her book tour on Wednesday’s Amanpour and Company on PBS where she declared that the reason why democracy is backsliding across the world is because the media “lost our gatekeeping powers to technology.”

When the "Twitter Files" came out on Friday night, taxpayer-funded PBS couldn't find it. On Washington Week, they were too busy gushing over the "new historic group leading the Democratic Party in the House" and then insisting Kevin McCarthy had a "rocky, rocky week" with the Republicans.
