July 17th, 2019 4:13 PM
The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing should be a celebration that has no trouble getting off the ground -- it’s widely recognized as one of America’s greatest achievements. However, Houston, we have a problem. There is no milestone or achievement we can commemorate in these woke days that doesn’t provoke a scolding “yes, but,” statement from the unhappy left.

Moon Over Chappaquiddick? How Press Let Landing Overshadow Kennedy

July 16th, 2019 7:20 PM
For Fast Company’s run-up to the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the magazine's Charles Fishman dove into the contemporaneous coverage from July 1969, focusing on how the print media reporting on “liberal lion” Sen. Ted Kennedy driving off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island that killed his passenger was overshadowed by the moon landing the next day.

NY Times' Dowd Chides AOC for ‘Outrageous’ Racism Against Pelosi

July 14th, 2019 7:38 PM
Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s press honeymoon over? No, but a few hints in the New York Times in the last week suggest the ardor has cooled. It's always fun to read New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd turn her acid pen to the left on occasion, and shake up her progressive readership. Dowd sounded positively Republican at times: "A.O.C. should consider the possibility that people who disagree…

July 13th, 2019 9:33 PM
The New York Times, pushing hard for migrants, is still slamming the now-rescinded family separation policy at the Southern border. Now it’s found a new liberal immigrant heroine: El Paso Democrat Rep. Veronica Escobar. Reporter Emily Cochrane was all gushing in Friday’s edition: “‘People Listen to Her’: House’s Voice of Fervor, And Reason, on Border.” The next day, Cochrane covered the actual…

NY Times Mocks Trump Summit of 'Right-Wing Social Media Trolls'

July 13th, 2019 3:30 PM
The New York Times demonstrated its loathing for conservative social media activists, while skipping over some of its own inconvenient blind spots. The headline over reporter Kevin Roose's pre-meeting table-setter, “Trump Woos Social Media Influencers,” belied the story’s hostility, but the online headline accurately captured the tone: “Trump Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Right-Wing Social Media…

On her 9:00 a.m. ET hour show on Thursday, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle highlighted a recent New York Times article about a study finding that, despite facing economic challenges, southerners in the U.S. still believe strongly in the American dream of lifting oneself out of poverty without major government intervention. He…

NYT Bashes Boris, 'Virtually Cultlike Certitude' of Brexit Embrace

July 11th, 2019 2:20 PM
The New York Times does not like British Conservative politician Boris Johnson, and certainly not his Brexit cause, and makes little attempt to hide it, even in its news coverage (and forget about the opinion section). Reporter Stephen Castle’s coverage of the debate between conservatives Johnson and Jeremy Hunt over who would become the Conservative Party’s new leader (and in effect the next…

NY Times Warns Pompeo's Human Rights Panel Sabotaged by His Faith

July 10th, 2019 11:40 AM
The New York Times wrung its hands over Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s review of the U.S. government’s international human rights policy, using his Christian faith against him while using the most liberal definition of human rights to try and paint the Trump administration as reactionary and anti-gay: “New Human Rights Panel Spurs Misgivings.” Tuesday’s report by Edward Wong and Eileen Sullivan…

NYTimes Cheers on Biz Boycott of Border Enforcement, Linked to Nazism

July 8th, 2019 7:00 PM
Reporter Amanda Taub’s piece in Monday’s New York Times, “The Power of a Unified ‘No!’: U.S. Asylum Restrictions Hit a Bump,” offered more of the same un-distilled migrant advocacy as last month’s awful Times op-ed, which called for “doxxing” the employees of migrant detention centers. This time the attempt to cripple immigration enforcement appeared in the print news section, with a story…

First World Feminists: Air-Conditioning Is ‘Sexist’

Culture
July 8th, 2019 2:34 PM

In an Afghan village, terrorists throw acid on little girls’ faces, poison their water, and hurl grenades into their classrooms to stop them from going to school. In an American office, some women are a little chilly. For first world radical feminists, the latter issue takes precedence, especially in the scorching summer heat.

Bozell & Graham Column: Trolling the Fourth of July

July 4th, 2019 4:34 PM
Liberals are loudly denouncing President Trump for his plans to insert himself into Fourth of July festivities in the nation’s capital, He’s announced he’ll deliver a speech, as if that is unique, and provide tanks for the parade, as if that’s controversial. And so they compare Trump to Kim Jong Un. But then there are others who are using this anniversary to take it in the opposite direction.…
