NY Mag: Debates in Media Should Be Between Left and Far Left

May 7th, 2018 5:14 PM
Media outlets don’t need conservatives for intellectual and political variety. They can just get... other liberals. That’s the argument put forward on New York magazine's website, Sunday. Writer Eric Levitz argued that because some conservatives tried — and failed — to stop Trump from obtaining the GOP nomimation in 2016, their ideas are irrelevant.

January 25th, 2018 12:33 PM
If the Democrats ever regain power, they will ruthlessly push to grant amnesty to all illegals in America in order to get their votes. Is that some sort of slur against the Democrats? Actually it is the dream wish of leftwing New York Magazine writer Eric Levitz who claims that that Democrats missed a golden opportunity in 2010 when they failed to grant amnesty to the illegals. He flats out…

How many companies have to announce new tax law-driven bonuses and raises before the left and some in the establishment press finally stop calling them "PR stunts" or some equivalent? It's doubtful we'll ever know, because even though announcements continued well into this past week and have crossed the triple-digit mark with over 1 million employees affected, media interest in compiling or…

New York magazine's Jonathan Chait is glad that the era of conservative media bias on tax cuts is over. In a Thursday post, Chait observed that Republicans have "complain[ed] bitterly" about the MSM's coverage of the just-passed tax bill. Those gripes, he suggested, aren't surprising, given that the coverage "has been generally clear about the undeniable fact that [the GOP] plan overwhelmingly…

NY Magazine Cites Trump as Partly to Blame for NFL's Decline

Long-time sportscaster Bob Costas is predicting the end times are nearing for the NFL, and one writer who agrees with him is New York magazine's Will Leitch. To explain the NFL's precipitous slide, the magazine writer overlooks a whole lot of off-the-field problems and blames it on, among other things, Donald J. Trump, pro football's doomsday POTUS.

November 23rd, 2017 11:53 AM
The “IRS scandal” is best understood as a significant work of fiction, suggested New York magazine’s Jonathan Chait on Tuesday. As Chait tells it, conservatives’ false belief that the tax agency subjected righty groups to especially exacting treatment “prefigure[d] the Republicans’ own blueprint for the use of government as an implement of partisan domination and revenge.”
