Two of Rudy Giuliani's former aides turned on him with a vengeance on CNN's New Day on Tuesdayt morning. First up, former Rudy spox Ken Frydman. Commenting on Rudy being made a prosecution target in Fulton County, Georgia, Frydman said that Rudy's strategy is to "delay, delay, delay," and that: "At this point in his life, Rudy's goal is to die a free man."

On Friday's New Day, CNN anchor Chris Wallace said Republicans characterizing the FBI’s action at Mar-a-Lago as a "huge" “Gestapo” tactic is "out of touch with reality." The FBI should not be compared to the Nazis. CNN and their Democrat friends save that for Republicans. 

On New Day, CNN counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd claimed even the Top Secret clearances he had as a senior official at the FBI and CIA would not have permitted him to view the documents regarding nuclear weapons that allegedly were at Mar-a-Lago.  Mudd also twice referred to Mar-a-Lago, for purposes of deriding the security measures in place there, as a "beach house."

In an unexpected but not unwelcome act of journalism on Friday morning, CNN anchor and New Day co-host Brianna Keilar pushed back on White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s misleading answers about the Inflation Reduction Act.

Among other gloating over Trump's travails, Mika Brzezinski and George Conway both claimed that "the walls are closing in" on Trump.

On New Day, CNN legal analyst Joey Jackson predicts that the indictment of Donald Trump in connection with January 6th is "imminent."

On Monday, CNN analyst Ryan Lizza declared: “For history, I think it’s a pretty big deal....You have to go back to – depending on how you define these things – to LBJ. So, I think for history, Biden – I don’t think there’s much debate anymore, he is an enormously consequential president and just judging him by his legislative agenda, you know, he’s sort of in that modern pantheon now.”…

With Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban speaking at CPAC in Texas on Thursday, CNN ran a segment on Thursday morning’s New Day which took Orban’s recent controversial comments that “we do not want to become peoples of mixed race” and ran with them, heavily implying that Orban would unleash a second Holocaust on the world if Hungary’s economy slips into a recession.

The New York Times reported on the front page of its Business section on Wednesday that CNN's ratings are terrible and their financial picture looks rough. But reporter Benjamin Mullin wrote absolutely nothing about the network's liberal tilt, or losing its daily fearmongering about Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Fox was touting strong ratings for July.

On CNN's New Day, co-hosts Brianna Keilar and John Avlon, discussing Tuesday's primary results, parrot Democrat tropes, "democracy on the ballot," "election denier," and "the big lie." CNN chief business correspondent Christine Romans joined both New Day and CNN Newsroom on Thursday to discuss the new GDP numbers that showed the U.S. economy has met the definition of a recession.
