CNN and MSNBC could barely contain their excitement in the moments following Tuesday’s Hillary Clinton rally featuring President Obama on the heels of the FBI deciding not to recommend charges in her e-mail scandal as MSNBC’s Brian Williams and CNN’s Jim Sciutto seemed to be acting as though Obama was still the candidate (and not Clinton).

Reacting to FBI Director James Comey’s announcement on Tuesday that he has not recommended charges against Hillary Clinton for her private e-mail servers scandal, MSNBC and NBC News senior political editor Beth Fouhy decried the idea that anyone should still be arguing that “the system is rigged” now that Comey revealed Clinton won’t face charges. 

This just in: Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren performed live in a rock concert in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday. According to their devoted groupies at MSNBC, the concert served as an “audition” for Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is being vetted for vice president. The two women entered the stage “hand in hand, locked in arms” as they readied the crowd for their performance.

Moments after the Supreme Court handed down a ruling on Monday morning that struck down a pro-life Texas law, MSNBC Live host Thomas Roberts brought on none other than former Democratic Texas State Senator and liberal hero Wendy Davis to discuss how she “was fighting back tears” seconds before her live shot and inquired about “where those pink sneakers are” from her 2013 filibuster for abortion.

In the moments following Hillary Clinton’s “heartfelt” remarks on the economy, MSNBC on Tuesday showered the candidate with their ritualistic, post-appearance bravado. Correspondent Kristen Welker described the occasion as one where Clinton “turned up the heat on Trump.” As for reporter Kasie Hunt, the speech was one from a candidate who is “in a groove.”

MSNBC journalists on Monday responded with a shrug to the announcement that the FBI would release the uncensored transcripts the Orlando killer’s 911 calls (after initially redacting parts). Fox News reporters and a select number of others have been known to grill White House Press Secretaries in the Obama years and Thursday saw another installment as the Fox News Channel’s chief Washington correspondent James Rosen hammered current Press Secretary Josh Earnest on subjects ranging from President Obama’s Hillary Clinton endorsement to her e-mail scandal.  

The cable networks ran a full-court press in covering President Obama’s endorsement on Thursday afternoon of Hillary Clinton with MSNBC giving Brian Williams the keys to the network for a few hours and, in the first 10 minutes, he seemed to blame talk radio for not reminding voters of Donald Trump’s birtherim enough that was, in his words, an “original sin.”
