MSNBC Descends Into a 'Wag the Dog' Obsession Over Trump and Syria
April 16th, 2018 6:14 PM
It turns out that Rachel Maddow's speculation, articulated twice on Friday, that President Donald Trump ordered air strikes in Syria "because of scandal" is not limited at MSBNC to one far-left host. It's a perceived, widely-shared likelihood which has frequently been tied to Wag the Dog, a movie which appeared just before the late-1990s Clinton-Lewinsky scandal broke.

On Sunday's AM Joy, during a discussion of her interview with pro-gun liberal rapper Killer Mike, host Joy Reid suggested that the NRA had railed against President Barack Obama because he is black, and MSNBC contributor Toure Neblett accused the pro-gun group of not doing anything to defend minority gun owners. The segment seemed oblivious to a recent video released by NRA TV's Colion Noir which…

(been) inflected by the scandals surrounding him." Maddow even contended that this alleged…

April 12th, 2018 8:40 AM
The hype for James Comey’s book tour (set to launch on ABC Sunday evening an hour-long George Stephanopoulos special) began last November 2 when CBS’s Gayle King teased it during an interview with the former FBI director. And while liberal journalists are clearly hoping for Comey to dish dirt on President Trump, there was a time when they hammered him as a partisan hack whose investigation into…

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell has a reputation as a liberal bomb thrower (and hater of hammering). And during Wednesday’s edition of The Last Word, he had his claws out for House Speaker Paul Ryan who earlier that day announced he was retiring. According to the MSNBC host, Ryan was a worse speaker than pedophile Dennis Hastert and the pre-Civil War speakers who owned slaves; all because “they were…

April 10th, 2018 4:52 PM
Many in the liberal media have blamed the recently alleged chemical attack in Syria on President Trump, citing his vow to pull American troops out of the region as having “emboldened” Syrian President Bashar-al Assad. Yet the same networks wildly praised the “amazing” and “potentially groundbreaking” 2013 deal in which President Obama entrusted Russian forces with the disposal of Assad’s chemical…

But political analyst Steve Schmidt set a high bar for himself during Monday’s 11th Hour when he went on a loud tirade slamming the President for how he responded to the news his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen was raided by the FBI. And he was so happy about the raid, he claimed: “you…
