Saturday’s edition of The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross was a combination of outrageous and tragic as Republican women and minorities were accused of being tokens by former RNC chair Michael Steele and former GOP strategist Lucy Caldwell. Both missed the fact that their host is the same kind of person who would lobby such accusations at them not that long ago.

Four years ago, Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke enjoyed a starring role in the liberal media’s coverage of the 2018 midterm elections. This year, Beto’s trying again, taking on Texas Governor Greg Abbott, but on TV news he’s gone from a rock star to the invisible man.

MSNBC’s Ali Velshi took his Saturday show on the road to Detroit to get local insights into the upcoming midterms. The setting also provided Velshi with a prime location to talk about the economy and to declare that “is especially foolish” to blame President Biden and Democrats for high inflation.

But Fordham professor Christina Greer claims that "we know that the fears of crime are latent sub-texts that have a racialized history in this country. And so, walking voters through the perception of crime and where there actually is crime."

As the midterms approach, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is giving clues into how Republicans would govern should they win. On Wednesday’s edition of MSNBC’s The 11th Hour, host Stephanie Ruhle falsely and absurdly suggested he is seeking Vladimir Putin’s help in the closing days of the campaign.

During his opening monologue on Wednesday’s All In, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes defended President Biden’s decision to raid the Strategic Petroleum Reserve because gas prices have to be lowered in order to save American democracy from Republicans and their allies in Saudi Arabia and the fossil fuel companies.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough accuses Kanye Wes of lying in saying that George Floyd was on fentanyl. Scarborough says he urges conservatives to read the Wall Street Journal to get the truth. But as the WSJ and many other news outlets have reported, at the time of his death, George Floyd was suffering from "fentanyl intoxication" and also had methamphetamine in his system. 

On Wednesday night's edition of MSNBC's The ReidOut, host Joy Reid opened the show by lashing out at Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis for daring to enforce the laws of his state and not allow violent felons to illegally vote in elections. Reid who presumably wants violent felons to be allowed to vote melted down and accused Florida of being a Jim Crow state. 

On Tuesday evening's edition of MSNBC's The ReidOut, host Joy Reid and Democrat Party strategist Kurt Bardella smeared the entire pro-life movement by claiming that "white Republican men have no idea how a baby is actually made." This comes from the party that doesn't know what a woman is or when life begins.
