Despite Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton being asked about abortion for the first time during a town hall on Fox News Monday night, on Tuesday morning, none of the network morning shows bothered to highlight the hardline positions of both Democratic candidates on the issue.

On Friday, the NBC, CBS, and ABC morning shows all blasted Thursday’s Republican presidential debate as “vulgar” “silly” and “childish.” The same networks that have routinely provided ample airtime to Donald Trump’s personal attacks on his rivals, lectured the GOP contenders on civility.

On Thursday, all three network morning shows thrilled over Hillary Clinton holding a “star-studded” fundraiser in New York City while worrying that her e-mail scandal “won’t go away” in the wake of new developments about the FBI investigation. Appearing on ABC’s live Super Tuesday coverage, Ted Cruz openly mocked former Democratic operative turned journalist George Stephanopoulos. A skeptical Stephanopoulos questioned Cruz’s path to the nomination, despite his wins in Oklahoma and Texas: “Marco Rubio is staying in the race. John Kasich is staying in the race. Ben Carson is staying in the race.” 

On the same day that the CBS President admitted that Donald Trump’s “circus” is “damn good for the network,” reporter Major Garrett blamed Marco Rubio for “obscuring” the debate on the businessman. All three networks on Monday slammed the Republican primary as “ugly,” “strange” and hitting “new lows.” 

“Outstanding.” That’s how Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts described liberal Leonardo DiCaprio’s climate change speech at the Oscars. The journalists at ABC were thrilled over the movie star’s advocacy. Lara Spencer hyped, “And Leo with his sixth Oscar nomination finally having his moment taking home best actor and using it as a platform for global change.”

On Sunday morning, ABC’s Good Morning America chose to devote only a tease and scant 22-second news brief on the tragic shooting death of a rookie police officer in a Washington D.C. suburb and instead devote over half the hour-long newscast to previewing the Oscars later that day on ABC.

Good Morning America on Friday actually noticed a controversy involving the very pro-abortion feminist Gloria Steinem. College tuition is like lunch: it’s never free. But that hasn’t stopped the media and liberal politicians from claiming it could be. On Jan. 31, 2016, USA Today reported that some states were considering “free” tuition policies in 2016 saying, “Free college is not just a pipe dream in this country.”

The journalists at Good Morning America on Thursday mocked Mitt Romney for his “bizarre” accusation that Donald Trump might have a tax “bombshell.” In 2012, however, ABC touted reporters their own role in forcing then-Republican presidential candidate Romney to talk about his taxes. 

Political scandals make for juicy journalism, but apparently a politician being cleared of wrong doing isn’t even worth a mention.
