“Hand’s up, don’t shoot” is back and still false. With the latest string of protests following the police killings of Alton Sterling (Baton Rouge) and Philando Castile (Minnesota), the “Hands up, don’t shoot” chant is back. Hollywood, CBS, ABC, and NBC have once again failed to give context to the chant in their coverage.

The journalists at Good Morning America on Thursday were eager to help Hillary Clinton turn the page and move on from the damaging e-mail server scandal. In contrast to the reporters and CBS and NBC, ABC’s Cecilia Vega simply parroted Clinton talking points: “Clinton's campaign calling the grilling yet another taxpayer funded sham of an inquiry to try to hurt Hillary Clinton politically.”

ABC and NBC on Wednesday and Thursday ignored the highly suspicious news that Bill Clinton had a secret meeting this week with Attorney General Loretta Lynch. This as the Justice Department and the FBI are investigating Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server. Only CBS bothered to cover the story. 

According to the journalists at Good Morning America, having liberal singers lash out for using their songs is something that happens to “all” politicians. In reality, it tends to mostly impact Republicans. George Stephanopoulos and Matt Dowd on Wednesday discussed Mike Huckabee settling with the band Survivor for using Eye of the Tiger without permission. 

The journalists at NBC’s Today show on Wednesday offered silence as Senate Democrats held up over $1 billion in Zika funding because of concern for Planned Parenthood. The program never mentioned the awkward development and it’s not as though there wasn’t time, given the show’s four hour length. On Tuesday, while all three network morning shows covered the newly-released House Benghazi Committee report, the broadcasts also dutifully parroted Democratic talking points attacking the credibility of the findings and concluded: “It does not appear to uncover conclusive evidence of wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton.”

All three networks on Tuesday hyped a possible Hillary Clinton/Elizabeth Warren presidential ticket, but the journalists on ABC’s Good Morning America were the most effusive. Former Democratic operative and Clinton Foundation donor George Stephanopoulos cheered, “Elizabeth Warren, certainly a  bold choice. An all woman ticket would be brand new.” 

Journalists on all three networks on Monday continued to howl with outrage over Britain’s decision to exit the European Union. Reporters on ABC, CBS and NBC attacked the “worst decision” that could lead to “economic disaster.” On the Today show, analyst Jim Cramer assailed, “In terms of the financial chaos and collapse, it’s just one of the worst moves I’ve seen.”

On Monday, all three network morning shows gushed over the left-wing activism on display during Sunday night’s BET Awards. In particular, the hosts and correspondents on NBC, ABC, and CBS were enthralled by Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams launching into a racially-charged screed against “this invention called whiteness [that] uses and abuses” African Americans.

All three morning shows on Friday led with the “stunning” vote by Britain to exit the European Union, a move that is “rocking” the world. Yet, only ABC’s Good Morning America ignored the inconvenient fact that Barack Obama tried and failed to influence the vote this past spring. On CBS This Morning, Charlie Rose reminded, “President Obama visited in April and urged voters to stay in Europe.” 

On Thursday, the network morning shows were beside themselves with enthusiasm over Democrats taking to the House floor to demand gun control with an all-night sit-in. On NBC’s Today, correspondent Peter Alexander was particularly swept up in the excitement and declared the partisan political stunt to be “Truly one of the most dramatic demonstrations on the House floor in modern American history.”
