On Thursday afternoon, news broke that Republican Senator Rand Paul's office had disputed claims aired in the media that the Kentucky Senator had been in an ongoing dispute with his neighbor, Rene Boucher, before being tackled in his yard about a week ago, calling the accounts "fake news," and claiming that the two had not even spoken to each other in many years. 

After the shocking and serious allegations against Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore broke on Thursday, the networks on Friday jumped to tar all conservatives, reminding audiences that Moore is a “far-right,” “hard-line,” “devout Christian conservative” “Republican.” This is not how controversial Democrats get treated when they run into trouble.

If there was any doubt about the liberal media's double-standard when it comes to policing politicians' character, the last 24 hours have made it clear: All three networks have given heavy coverage to the serious accusations against a Republican Senate candidate, while the ongoing federal trial of a Democratic Senator has been largely hidden from view.

What a difference eight years can make. On Wednesday, all three network morning shows hailed Tuesday’s election victories for Democrats as a “stinging rebuke” to President Trump that he “will likely take personally.” However, after Republicans won the Virginia and New Jersey governor’s races in 2009, NBC, ABC, and CBS were quick to downplay any suggestion that it was a referendum on then-…

Giddy over Democratic wins in state and local elections across the country, on Wednesday’s Good Morning America, political pundits Matthew Dowd and Meghan McCain were eager to cheer the results as “rejection” of President Trump and a victory for “diversity and inclusion.”
