When I appeared on Fox on Friday morning, we talked about how the "news" is too often wild speculation about Trump's doom. This was my example: on Thursday afternoon on CNN's Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin, the host asked legal analyst Renato Mariotti to explain an article he wrote for Politico magazine about how Donald Trump should totally be indicted for crimes if he loses in 2020.

CNN Harps on Protest Sizes During Trump U.K. Visit

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May held a joint press conference during his state visit to the United Kingdom. The included Trump acting diplomatic towards his hosts, and he even extended an olive branch to May when he quipped that she was probably a better negotiator than him, but that didn’t stop CNN from running hourly coverage of the protests in London.

CNN Panel Repeatedly Suggests President Trump Sees Himself as a King

During the 3:00 p.m. hour of Monday's CNN Newsroom, the panel repeatedly compared President Trump to a king as they covered his state visit with Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II. On Wednesday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller held a press conference on the Russia investigation and the subsequent investigation into obstruction of justice. Cable news hosts spent Friday morning running damage control for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after the President tweeted a video mashup of her verbally stumbling at a press conference. Curiously, CNN and MSNBC parroted the language used by Pelosi’s own office in their efforts to discredit the video: “doctored.”
