On Tuesday, both NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning actually promoted an offensive temper tantrum thrown by congressional Democrats in the House of Representatives on Monday during what was supposed to be a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Orlando terrorist attack.

On Monday night and Tuesday morning, the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC offered multiple segments decrying presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for revoking press credentials from The Washington Post while having the exact opposite reaction to three newspapers being banned from the Obama campaign press plane in 2008. 

In an interview with Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on Tuesday, the hosts of CBS This Morning devoted most of the segment to calling for gun control in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack and demanding the cabinet secretary use his position to promote the cause. During NBC’s Nightly News program on Monday the network ran not one but two reports on Donald Trump’s actions following the terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida. Both reports were about Trump’s attacks on President Obama and Hillary Clinton. In addition, they both chastised Trump for what he had tweeted following recent terrorist attacks.
