Somehow, Daily Kos Morally Merges Aurora Killer With Jonah Goldberg

July 29th, 2012 7:56 AM
Jonah Goldberg has written a column advocating a swift execution for Aurora theatre killer James Holmes, which outraged “Tytalus” at the Daily Kos. His article is titled “Doughy Pantload vents his violent impulses.” In classic Kosmonaut fashion, the advocacy of killing the mass murderer somehow morally merges Holmes and Goldberg into identical warts on society’s gluteus maximus:

Daily Kos Week in Review: Left-Wing Summer School

July 27th, 2012 11:24 PM
If Daily Kos were an online university, and you were taking a course called Fundamentals of the Republican Party, you would have learned this week that while bedrock GOP beliefs are incompatible with Christ's teachings, they're quite similar to Hitlerian ideology.   As usual, each headline is preceded by the blogger's name or pseudonym.

The Hill: Apparently Obama Has Nothing To Do With the Current Economic

July 26th, 2012 9:09 PM
Poor guy. This darned economy has a mind of its own and isn't cooperating. That's pretty much what you're forced to think in the following cop-out sentence from the Hill in anticipation of tomorrow's report on second-quarter gross domestic product (along with revisions to prior years):

AP Report on Fracking Faults Accuracy of 'Some' Opponents' Claims, Fai

July 25th, 2012 11:26 AM
I suppose the Associated Press deserves some credit for what appears to be a grudging acknowledgment that opponents of the oil and gas drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing, aka "fracking," "sometimes mislead the public." Also, Kevin Begos's story does a good job of letting Josh Fox, producer of the fundamentally dishonest documentary "Gasland," hang himself with his own dodgy,…

Forbes Media Writer: HBO Rips 'Newsroom' Reviews Out of Context to Ma

July 23rd, 2012 4:24 PM
The gushing praise for Newsroom that HBO is highlighting in an ad campaign just seemed too good to be true to Jeff Bercovici, who noted the new Aaron Sorkin-created series was earning a "distinctly mediocre [score of] 57" on Metacritic.com. "Even those critics who’ve embraced it have generally done so with considerable caveats," the Forbes media critic noted. So sure enough, upon closer…

Daily Kos Blames America First for Aurora Shooting

July 20th, 2012 3:49 PM
While the Daily Kos first reacted with horror like everyone else to the Aurora shooting, it didn’t take too long for the America-bashing to begin. The blogger known as “Killer of Sacred Cows” grew angry that Rep. Louie Gohmert would suggest the madness could have been stopped sooner if someone else in the theater was packing heat. That apparently put him in “Idiotsville.” But KoSC really…

Time Reporter on Aurora Shooting: 'Sometimes There’s Nothing Wrong W

July 20th, 2012 12:25 PM
Michael Grunwald is doubling down on what many liberals in the media are only hinting at. "[T]here is nothing wrong with politicizing tragedy," the Time senior national correspondent wrote this morning, reacting to the Aurora movie theater shooting. "If advocates or experts or even politicians think their policy ideas can prevent the next Aurora—by preventing potential killers from obtaining…

Chick-Fil-A Publicly Acknowledges It’s Conservative, Media Upset

July 18th, 2012 11:56 PM
When the head of a major fast food chain underscores his support for traditional marriage, lefty heads explode. Dan Cathy, son of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett, told the Baptist Press on July 16 that his father's restaurant chain is, in fact, still conservative. In response to a question pertaining to the franchise’s support of the traditional family, Cathy replied “guilty as charged.” The…

Daily Kos Week in Review: Natural Born Killers and Eaters

July 14th, 2012 7:26 AM
Many on the left believe that conservative policies are at least indirectly lethal, but this week one Kossack imputed additional depravity to right-wingers when he likened them to the best-known group of cannibals in American history.    As usual, each headline is preceded by the blogger's name or pseudonym.

Sen. Reid Refuses to Call Vote on Obama's Plan to Extend Tax Cuts; Wil

July 11th, 2012 5:13 PM
"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Wednesday rejected a Republican request to vote on President Obama’s income tax plan amid defections within his caucus on tax policy," Alexander Bolton of The Hill newspaper reported just before 10:30 a.m. today. "Reid appeared exasperated by the Republican request to vote on extending the Bush-era tax rates when Democrats would prefer to focus…

Hunger Games: Daily Kos Smears Conservatives as Cannibals With 'Donner

July 9th, 2012 5:27 PM
While Chris Hayes complains about National Review misplacing Barack Obama in Paris, no one will expect MSNBC to question the Daily Kos comparing National Review and other conservatives with...the Donner Party, the snow-trapped pioneers who succumbed to cannibalism to survive in 1847. The original subject was the “pragmatist” philosopher John Dewey, a left-wing hero. Writer Alex Budarin was…

Reuters Report Erroneously Claims That 'Most' Prisoners in the U.S. Ar

July 6th, 2012 3:55 PM
On Tuesday, Tom Brown at Reuters (HT CounterContempt.com aka "Republican Party Animals") wrote about the case of Quartavious Davis, a 20 year-old sentenced to life (and then some) after being "convicted of participating in a string of armed robberies in the Miami area in 2010." In the process, Brown, whose column title was inadvertently humorous ("Insight: Florida man sees 'cruel' face of U.S…

Daily Kos on ObamaCare: 'Conservatives Want to Hurt People,' Liberals

July 2nd, 2012 11:22 AM
Laurence Lewis at Daily Kos couldn’t help digressing from his blog on the San Francisco gay “pride” parade to ObamaCare. “The difference on health care between Republicans and Democrats, between conservatives and liberals? Republicans and conservatives want to take access to health care away from people,” he wrote on Sunday. They “want to end Medicare and Medicaid as we know them. In…

Crass Obama Campaign 'Event Registry' Barely Registers Any Establishme

June 24th, 2012 10:58 AM
This one of the most obvious "if the shoe were on the other foot" items I've seen in some time. If a Republican or conservative presidential candidate's campaign ever dared to suggest that supporters register their wedding, graduation, or other event so they could then ask friends and family to make donations to the candidate's election efforts in lieu of a gift, the ridicule wouldn't stop…
