Talk about fake news. Jimmy Kimmel and actress Kathryn Hahn on Wednesday shared a factually false story to mock Ronald Reagan. On Wednesday, network morning show coverage of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh dropped off significantly, with combined air time of less than two minutes. However, the ABC, NBC, and CBS broadcasts still managed to use that brief amount of reporting to tout Democrats “launching all-out war” against the federal judge.

During Tuesday’s World News Tonight, ABC revealed their key concerns with Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court. Along with speculation of him helping to overturn Roe v. Wade, the network boosted Democratic worries that efforts to prosecute the President via the special counsel would end.

Hours after preemptively deriding an unnamed Supreme Court nominee as “controversial,” ABC’s Nightline on Monday night worried about the “reliably conservative” Brett Kavanaugh and the vacancy that is sending “shivers” down the spines of liberals.

The new Supreme Court pick is very “controversial,” whoever he or she turned out to be. That’s the consensus of ABC’s Nightline. About 90 minutes before Donald Trump announced the name of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Nightline’s Twitter page blasted:

One of the left’s biggest weapons is identity politics, and the media will continually ignore facts to keep this weapon functional. This is especially true regarding Christians, whom the media label as bigots and oppressors. They can never be seen as victims and so the media report accordingly.

The June jobs report was more good news for American job seekers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced July 6, that 213,000 new jobs were added in June. That was more than economists expected. The prior two months were also revised up, adding another 37,000 jobs.

While speculating on who President Trump would nominate to Supreme Court, on Monday’s Good Morning America, ABC co-host Robin Roberts and correspondent Terry Moran engaged in a brief political strategy session to advise Democrats on the best way to obstruct any pick for the high court.
