For horror fans who often complain that slasher movies are bloated and played out, lefty Hollywood may have just found a way to inject new life into the subgenre. New film The Clovehitch Killer attempts to bring audiences a new menacing figure that plays right into liberal fears — the dreaded conservative, all-American dad who’s secretly a knife-wielding serial killer.

In the category of “misleading lefty clickbait stories with ridiculous headlines,” Newsweek put forward a contender on Nov. 14 under its “Culture” section. The full headline read: “REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR BLAMES MASS SHOOTINGS ON ZOMBIES, ABORTIONS, US ‘CULTURE OF DEATH’—NOT GUNS” And with that, author Benjamin Fearnow already started walking back that whopper of a title in the lede:

CNN’s New Day and MSNBC’s Morning Joe, two programs with a combined six hours of air time, on Thursday managed a total of 67 seconds on the felony abuse arrest charges against Michael Avenatti. This is despite their previous fascination with the porn lawyer and Democratic antagonist to President Trump. 

Appearing on MSNBC Thursday morning to defend Democrat Stacey Abrams’ refusal to concede the race for governor in Georgia and hurl accusations of voter suppression against Republican Brian Kemp, Abrams campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo touted support from disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather and MSNBC’s own Joe Scarborough.

  Thursday on ABC’s The View, co-host Joy Behar slammed Wednesday night’s Country Music Awards show for staying out of politics. As nearly every entertainment awards show has made itself part of the resistance against President Trump, Behar was sorely disappointed to see this was one show where Trump’s name wasn’t mentioned.  

A bombshell story released by the New York Times attacks the platform for allowing conservatives to have a voice. In a critical piece headlined, “Delay, Deny and Deflect: How Facebook’s Leaders Fought Through Crisis,” reporters Sheera Frenkel, Nicholas Confessore, Cecilia Kang, Matthew Rosenberg and Jack Nicas wrote of Facebook’s perceived power moves against its liberal critics.

It’s not just President Donald Trump, White House press secretaries Sean Spicer and Sarah Huckabee Sanders who think Jim Acosta is out of control. Even some of his journalist colleagues think his antics are bad for journalism.

Civility. Journalists would have you believe that such a virtue died when Donald Trump became president and coarsened the national discourse. On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough scolds Democrats seeking to prevent Nancy Pelosi from becoming Speaker. Joe repeatedly praises Pelosi as highly "competent," and analogizes her to Alex Cora, manager of the World Series-winning Red Sox, suggesting that denying Pelosi the Speakership would be as illogical as replacing Cora. 

For the second week in a row, South Park brought back their Al Gore character to push the climate change narrative. In season 22 episode seven, titled “Nobody got Cereal?” which aired on Wednesday night, Gore and Satan are heroes in the fight against global warming.
