As Democratic Senator Dick Durbin appeared as a guest on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports Thursday, host Andrea Mitchell displayed the latest example of a liberal journalist slamming the Donald Trump administration for doing something the Barack Obama administration also did as she called it a "shameful policy" for Border Patrol to keep children in "cages," echoing her liberal guest's complaints.

The worst problem that liberal journalists have is that mental tic that journalism equals liberalism. Conservative journalism is by definition “disinformation.” Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan perfectly exemplified this tic on Friday calling Fox News a disease – an “American plague.”

Amidst a commercial-free Thursday night edition of Hardball in light of the Paul Manafort sentencing, MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews brought on Obama-era CIA Director John Brennan to rage over the Manafort sentence by Judge T.S. Ellis and accuse President Trump of having “jumped the tracks” to betray America to side with North Korea, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

Finally, Taylor Swift has promised to grace us with more of her political opinion. After years of media haranguing and being quiet when asked her opinions on the bad Orange Man (Vice claimed her silence may be partially to blame for Trump’s election) the pop princess claimed that from here on out she “will be more active in political campaigns.”
