Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the release of self-admitted “American Taliban” member John Walker Lindh “unexplainable and unconscionable.” Lindh, who was paroled last Thursday from a federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, served 17 years of a 20-year sentence for illegally aiding Taliban forces. On Tuesday’s show, the hosts of ABC’s The View conflated two unflattering videos starring Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that circulated social media late last week. While only one video was altered, the co-hosts claimed both were “fake,” angrily came to Pelosi’s defense, and demanded that both “doctored” videos needed to be taken down.

Appearing on NBC’s Third Hour Today show on Tuesday, director Ron Howard talked about threats from himself and other Hollywood power brokers to boycott filming in the state of Georgia over proposed pro-life legislation being considered by the Republican governor. Howard saw no problem with the entertainment industry trying to bully the state into submission.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour praised Angela Merkel on Tuesday, cheering the “courageous, compassionate immigration policy" that has let over one million Muslims into the country. Conversely, she condemned conservative movements, which she described as “dark old demons”  and “very dark forces.”
