Although Chris Cuomo and his employer insist that calling someone 'Fredo' is an ethnic slur on a par with the n-word, even Vox takes exception to such a comparison. On Tuesday,  Vox culture staff writer Alissa Wilkinson weighed in on this topic and came down very definitely on the side of no ethnic slur represented by "Fredo." 

On his Tuesday night show, Daily Show host Trevor Noah took a brief break from mocking Trump and Fox News, to ridicule CNN’s Chris Cuomo over his now-viral video encounter with a man who called him, “Fredo.” Noah mercilessly mocked the CNN host for his violent overreaction and even took him to task for calling the term after a fictional character, an ethnic slur.  

Last week, The New York Times bowed and scraped before the Left when their readers erupted in outrage over the bland, objective headline "Trump Urges Unity Vs. Racism." This week, the Times demoted deputy Washington editor Jonathan Weisman after he upset the Left with several tweets about the hardcore "Justice Democrats" and an angry email to a radical feminist who writes for his paper.

It could be said that faux Republican, CNN global affairs analyst, and Washington Post columnist Max Boot has lost his mind, but the reality is he hasn’t been cogent for awhile. Showing a Trumpian-like inability to take criticism, CNN gave Max Boot space Tuesday night to accuse National Review and former NewsBusters intern John Hirschauer of being....white supremacists?

In an explosive, f-bomb filled video, CNN Anchor Chris Cuomo threatened to throw his critic down a flight of stairs after he called him “Fredo” a reference to the pathetic middle child of the Corleone family in The Godfather film series. YouTube took down the video, but quickly restored it after both Don Jr. and the president himself blasted the company for the takedown. 

At 3:00 a.m. CT on Tuesday, someone opened fire at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in San Antonio Texas. Despite both FBI and ICE officials describing the attack as “targeted” and fueled by “political rhetoric,” on Wednesday, over 24 hours after the shooting, NBC and ABC have yet to report the story while CBS This Morning only provided seconds of air time.

Looks like Epstein conspiracy theories are catnip for the Morning Joe gang. Two days ago, we noted that Joe Scarborough had tweeted out a bizarre theory based on Russsian involvement, and suggested that it was "bullshit" to label Epstein's death a suicide. The irony/hypocrisy of Scarborough's assertion was that he proceeded to condemn President Trump for having retweeted another theory. 

Google used a blacklist and a blocklist for search results. Facebook has been recording audio clips of its users and paying contractors to copy what they say. According to Bloomberg, the employees, “who are not told where the audio was recorded or how it was obtained” are merely told to transcribe it. The anonymous workers explained how they are “hearing Facebook users’ conversations, sometimes with vulgar content, but do not know why Facebook needs them…

It's been a bad week for CNN. Hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon both embroiled in their own scandals, one even caught on camera. Now CNN political analyst April Ryan is in hot water after a local journalist claims he was assaulted by Ryan’s bodyguard while covering an event she was speaking at, earlier this month.

Not surprisingly, the panel on Monday’s edition of Deadline: White House did not react favorably to “a new rule announced by the Trump administration” that “makes it harder for low-income legal immigrants who receive food stamps or other government assistance to stay in this country.” According to one member of the panel, this new policy constitutes “white nationalism.”
