While she did grill Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff on his serious credibility issues during Friday’s exclusive Today show interview, NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie also provided the anti-Trump author with a platform to repeatedly hurl personal insults at the President. Wolff claimed that senior White House officials thought Trump was a “child,” “moron,” and “idiot,” among other nasty labels.

As Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie repeatedly questioned his credibility on Friday, Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff declared that he stood by “absolutely everything” in his Trump-trashing book. Despite that assertion, he later admitted to using deceptive tactics: “I certainly said what was ever necessary to get the story.”

In a fawning interview with the stars of The Post, on Thursday’s NBC Today, co-anchor Savannah Guthrie gushed over Hollywood’s latest love letter to the liberal media: “The movie is getting great reviews. And for something that took place 45 years ago, it feels like it could have been ripped right out of a newspaper today. Very timely.” 

After NBC’s Today co-host Savannah Guthrie accused House Speaker Paul Ryan of “living in a fantasy world” on Wednesday for predicting that tax reform legislation would encourage businesses to raise wages for their employees, on Thursday, the network morning show tried its best to deny the reality that several major companies announced that they would be doing exactly that.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the broadcast networks were openly enthusiastic about the prospect that Democrat Doug Jones winning the Alabama Senate race could derail the entire Republican legislative agenda. In stark contrast, when Republican Scott Brown pulled off a major upset win in the 2010 Massachusetts Senate race to replace the late Ted Kennedy, the same liberal media went into mourning.

During an exclusive interview with Democratic Alabama Senator-elect Doug Jones on Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie kept all the questions easy and steered clear of the liberal politician’s radical pro-abortion views. However, she did find time to ask him whether the Republican tax bill should be delayed so he could vote against it.

During the 7 a.m. ET hour of Tuesday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie informed viewers of a “major win for the Trump administration in the U.S. Supreme Court” as a majority of the justices upheld the President’s travel ban. However, just one hour later, correspondent Kristen Welker appeared on the morning show and dismissed the news as only a “minor” victory for the White House.

In its desperation to avoid any discussion of a potential major legislative win for the Trump administration and congressional Republicans, Monday’s NBC Today devoted an astonishing 15 times more coverage to the morning show’s fired co-host Billy Bush attacking President Trump in a New York Times op/ed than to the GOP tax bill working its way through Congress. 

News broke early this morning that NBC News has fired their longtime morning news anchor Matt Lauer after being accused of sexual harassment from a colleague at NBC. Lauer’s hypocritical treatment of Bill O’Reilly, Trump and others has come back to bite the liberal news anchor, now facing similar accusations. Beginning a book tour for his new memoir, Promise Me, Dad, former Vice President Joe Biden was treated to softball questions from the hosts and a live studio audience on Monday's NBC Today. During the more than 20 minutes of glowing coverage, Biden was repeatedly pressed on whether he was running for president in 2020. The cast of the morning show was giddy at the prospect.

In a staggering example of the press lacking any self-awareness, on Monday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie fretted over “a recent poll that said nearly half of people think the media make up stories” and unbelievably turned to disgraced former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather to suggest ways in which the news media could “enhance its own credibility.”

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows encouraged Tennessee Senator and outspoken Trump critic Bob Corker to step up his attacks on the President. Hosts asked the Republican lawmaker if he thought the commander-in-chief was a “threat to national security,” wondered “what’s being done about it” in Congress, and invited him to double-down on his harshest rhetoric against the President.

After Thursday’s network evening newscasts feared that President Trump’s executive action curtailing ObamaCare regulations was a threat to Barack Obama’s legacy, on Friday morning, the ABC, CBS, and NBC morning shows launched into full panic mode over “the biggest move to undermine ObamaCare yet” and touted how “Democrats call the move pointless sabotage.”
