On Tuesday, while all three network morning shows covered the newly-released House Benghazi Committee report, the broadcasts also dutifully parroted Democratic talking points attacking the credibility of the findings and concluded: “It does not appear to uncover conclusive evidence of wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton.”

Although NBC and CBS on Friday covered the “unprecedented,” “deep frustration” that diplomats at the State Department have for Barack Obama’s Syria policy, ABC’s Good Morning America allowed a scant 18 seconds to the subject. This is despite allowing 14 minutes to a Demi Lovato rock concert, clearly not as important a topic. 

All the networks in the “big three” praised President Obama, during their evening shows on Tuesday, for taking the presumptive GOP nominee to task on how to fight the War on Terror. They all talked about Obama’s takedown in glowing terms, while pointing out how Donald Trump’s strategy breeds hate. NBC even saluted the Democratic Party for putting Obama and Hillary Clinton together to fight Trump…

The network morning shows on Friday all praised President Obama’s “historic visit” to Hiroshima, Japan – site of the first nuclear bombing – and him using the occasion to push his foreign policy agenda. Leading off NBC’s Today, announced: “Historic visit. President Obama becomes the first sitting U.S. President to travel to Hiroshima, site of the devastating atomic bombing.”

During a report on Thursday’s CBS This Morning about President Obama’s trip to Japan, correspondent Margaret Brennan noted: “Tomorrow, President Obama will make an historic trip to Hiroshima, a city that the U.S. devastated during World War II with the very first atomic bomb....he wants to underscore the risks still posed by nuclear weapons.”  

On Monday morning, NBC’s Today and correspondent Ron Allen omitted any mention to viewers that Vietnam remains a authoritarian, communist regime as it welcomed President Barack Obama on the first stop of his week-long Asia tour. 

During a White House press conference in the 12 p.m. ET hour on Friday, President Obama was treated to a series of softball questions from reporters, who repeatedly teed him up to bash Republicans and promote his liberal agenda. The journalists at CBS This Morning on Friday were positively wistful as they prepared for Barack Obama’s final appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner, Saturday night. A network graphic cheered the President “leaving with a laugh.” Gayle King introduced, “They call it the nerd prom. This will be the Obamas's last appearance there as President and First Lady.” 

In lieu of a story on the 2016 election, Saturday's CBS Evening News featured a full report promoting the United Kingdom's travel advisory for Mississippi and North Carolina in light of religious liberty laws and gushing over President Barack Obama's town hall in London that featured "an emotional statement of personal identity" from a transgender person.

All three morning shows on Friday highlighted Barack Obama’s trip to Britain. However, only CBS saw it as “very controversial” and explained why one prominent British leader is calling the President a “bully.” ABC ignored the fact that Obama is in the country to lobby Britons to stay in the European Union. On Monday night amidst the voluminous amount of Cuba coverage, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News made sure to not inform their viewers of an ominous and disturbing backdrop hours earlier when President Obama and a portion of the U.S. delegation stood in Havana’s Revolution Square with a mural of the brutal leftist leader Che Cuevara in the background.

During a report promoting U.S. companies expanding business in Cuba, correspondent Margaret Brennan also lamented a downside: “Cuba remains one of the few countries in the world left virtually untapped by American corporations due to the long running trade embargo....But visitors like Manuel Leone fear that an influx of big businesses will endanger Cuba's unique charm.”

On Monday, while ABC’s Good Morning America aired a softball interview with President Obama from Cuba, NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning both celebrated the First Family “acting like tourists” during their “historic” trip to the Communist dictatorship.  

On Thursday, the broadcast networks wasted no time advancing President Obama’s political strategy to force Republicans to confirm his Supreme Court nominee. The NBC, ABC, and CBS morning newscasts were eager to tout “pressure” being brought to bear on GOP senators to make them “pay a price” for opposing Merrick Garland for the high court.
