Sharpton: 'Occupy' Movement Ideally About 'How We Distribute The Wealt

October 10th, 2011 8:47 PM
Thanks, Reverend Al. Really.  Sure, we know that the left is all about the redistribution of wealth rather than its generation.  Still, it's instructive to hear a leading lefty say it in such stark terms.  As clear a statement of the manifesto since candidate Obama told Joe The Plumber that "spread the wealth around" is the way to go.   On his MSNBC show this evening, Sharpton declared that…

CBS Gives Platform to Russ Feingold to Bash Herman Cain As 'Un-America

October 10th, 2011 6:27 PM
CBS sided with supporters of the "Occupy Wall Street" protests on Monday's Early Show, bringing on former Democratic Senator Russ Feingold to boost the left-leaning demonstrations, with no Republican and/or conservative critics appearing as guests during the program. Feingold slammed Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain as "un-American" for his critique of the protests. Near the end…

Sunday Is for Celebrating 'Occupy Wall Street' Lefties at the NY Times

October 10th, 2011 5:46 PM
From the editorial page to the news pages to a page of graphic design, the spreading leftist protest known as Occupy Wall Street occupied major swathes of Sunday’s New York Times, and the mood was celebratory – at last the left wing (or as the Times puts it, “populist message”) is off the mat and fighting back. In the paper’s Sunday Review, journalism professor and veteran leftist Todd…

CBS: Daily Kos Radical Leftist is Merely a 'Wall Street Protester

October 10th, 2011 3:29 PM
CBS's Bigad Shaban failed to disclose the far-left politics of an "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrator on Monday's Early Show. Jesse LaGreca, a Daily Kos contributor who wrote in August that "Hurricane Irene is like having Christmas early" for Republicans, was identified on-screen as simply a "Wall Street protester." Shaban also barely devoted any time to critics of the nascent movement.

Bad News for Wall Street Protesters: It's Going To Be a VERY Cold Wint

October 10th, 2011 11:08 AM
The Occupy Wall Street protesters either better get their point across quickly or buy themselves - from small, non-profit, non-publicly traded companies, of course! - warmer clothing and higher quality sleeping bags. Although the global warming obsessed media are mostly ignoring this, scientists are predicting a very cold winter in the northern hemisphere:

Van Jones Praises ‘Non-Violent’ Arab Spring – ‘We Should Have

October 10th, 2011 9:50 AM
Speaking at the liberal Center for American Progress (CAP) on Friday, former Obama administration green jobs czar and political activist Van Jones praised the Arab Spring movement in the Middle East as “people powered” and “non-violent” and called for the United States to follow suit. “They had the Arab spring, which was a people-powered, non-violent opportunity to change the conversation in…

Occupy 15th Street: The Washington Post Anti-Business Section

October 10th, 2011 8:51 AM
Leftist media critics resent that newspapers have a "Business" section or that PBS used to show "Wall Street Week," as if reporting on business automatically means you're pro-business. The Washington Post on Sunday seemed to be working overtime to publish an Anti-Business section, with two columns endorsing the "Occupy Wall Street" protests, an enormous article by liberal Post wunderkind Ezra…

Politico's Top Stories Suggest Site's Liberal Tilt

October 10th, 2011 8:04 AM
Politico's "Daily Digest" is an email the blog blasts out in the morning, touting the day's top stories.  As a subscriber, this NewsBuster was struck by the left-friendly lean of five out this morning's six featured stories. To be sure, "Post-recession income falls" is not good for President Obama, reporting as it does that Americans' incomes have fallen faster during his presidency than…

ABC Enters Full Cheerleading Mode for Leftist Protests ‘Growing in S

October 10th, 2011 2:09 AM
ABC stepped up its promotion Sunday night on behalf of the far-left protesters, which they failed to label, making a special effort to explain and frame their grievances – a service they never provided to the Tea Party. “Tonight, the anger spreads,” anchor David Muir hailed in teasing World News on Sunday night. “Those Wall Street protests now going global. This evening here, we learn about the…

Krugman on Wall Street Protests: 'There Has in Fact Been Nothing So Fa

October 10th, 2011 12:04 AM
It seems New York Times columnist Paul Krugman thinks the Occupy Wall Street protesters have been better behaved than Tea Party attendees. Read the following paragraph from Monday's "Panic of the Plutocrats" and you be the judge:

Matthews and Fineman Worry Obama Could Get Hurt Supporting Wall Street

October 9th, 2011 6:55 PM
Despite most media outlets gushing and fawning over the Occupy Wall Street protests, MSNBC's Chris Matthews and the Huffington Post's Howard Fineman see risks to President Obama and the Democrats supporting the movement. The host of The Chris Matthews Show is even concerned this could be a return to 1968 when riots outside the Democratic National Convention in Chicago played a huge role in…

Gregory Asks Emanuel About Obama: Will Demonizing Wall Street Create J

October 9th, 2011 5:48 PM
David Gregory on Sunday's Meet the Press asked former Obama Chief of Staff turned Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel a rather surprising question about his previous boss's support for the Occupy Wall Street protests. "Is demonizing Wall Street the way to create an environment to get the banks to hire? Is this not a reverse Tea Party tactic?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Amanpour Touts Wall Street Protests as ‘Revolution,’ Pleased Polit

October 9th, 2011 4:23 PM
Offering the kind of respect, admiration and promotion ABC News has yet to offer Tea Party activists, Christiane Amanpour on Sunday asserted the far-left protesters are a “populist movement” representing a “revolution,” cited how it has “finally” been recognized by politicians, characterized it as an answer to the Tea Party and included an “Occupy Wall Street activist” on her roundtable. “…

WaPo's Wemple: 'Really Disgraceful' That O'Reilly Called Protesters 'F

October 9th, 2011 1:17 PM
On Sunday's Reliable Sources on CNN, host Howard Kurtz and guest Erik Wemple of the Washington Post both took exception with FNC's Bill O'Reilly for recently calling some of the "Occupy Wall Street" protesters "far-left loons" and "anarchists." Kurtz noted the contrast in how MSNBC and FNC have responded to the protests:
