And journalists wonder why Americans dislike the media? It’s sneering statements like the one on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning. Yahoo! journalist Bianna Golodryga inserted a sneering commentary into a report on Donald Trump’s upcoming meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit. 

Reporting live from the site of the upcoming G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany on Wednesday’s NBC Today, correspondent Keir Simmons promised that “President Trump faces a tough trip here with some uncomfortable conversations.” The reporter hyped how Trump “does not see eye-to-eye with the German chancellor” and that “all eyes will be on that meeting with President Putin.”  

If there's ever a "most pathetic correction ever" contest, the one posted by the Associated Press late Friday afternoon, conveniently ahead of what for many Americans will be a very long holiday weekend, has to be a serious contender. Thursday night The New York Times quietly issued a correction online that admitted one of the media’s major talking points about the Russia investigation wasn’t actually true. The correction was discreetly placed on their website under a 5 day-old article on Trump and Russia by Maggie Haberman called “Trump’s Deflections and Denials on Russia Frustrate Even His Allies.”
