Whether you believe that Pope Francis is pushing a liberal agenda in the Catholic Church or not, the liberal media does, and it’s clear that they will do their best to defend him from criticism. Thursday’s USA Today article deflected earnest criticisms of the pope by painting him as an innocent victim, suffering a clerical abuse scandal pushed by critics hoping to oust him.

If there’s one thing that CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin can’t be accused of, it’s keeping his opinions about President Trump a secret. He denounces the President seemingly every chance he gets. Lately, he’s taking to decrying many things the President does and says as somehow racist. During Wednesday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, Carlson called Toobin out for his hyperbolic wailing.

And you thought you just believed Colin’ Kaepernick’s kneeling anthem protest was out of place or in bad taste during the pre-kickoff moment reserved for patriotism. Silly white people, didn’t you know disagreeing with the protests makes you a practitioner or one of America’s oldest and most racist traditions? Welcome to the “slave patrol.”

Talk about a bad week! One is simply gobsmacked at what has been going on over at CNN. Back there in the mists of July, CNN’s Jim Sciutto, Carl Bernstein posted a piece on the latest-of-the-moment “news” about the now infamous “Trump Tower” meeting between various Trump supporters (Don Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort) and a Russian woman who was pitched as having campaign dirt on Hillary but…

Don Lemon was so aghast about President Trump’s comments on Antifa being bolstered if Democrats sweep the Midterms this Fall, that he devoted three separate segments on his two hour show Tuesday night to it.  

Alex Griswold at the Washington Free Beacon reports that two scholars at the American Enterprise Institute studied newspaper coverage of last spring's teacher strikes and found that of the quotes included in the articles, 60 percent supported the strikes, 26 percent were neutral, and only 14 percent opposed the walkouts -- a tilt of more than four to one.

Just a day after rationalizing the leftist violence by Antifa against police, bystanders, and the press as some twisted form of greater “morality,” CNN host Chris Cuomo closed out PrimeTime by condemning and scolding the President for using coarse language against his opponents. And at the same time, suggested the President was acting worse than a child and like a drunk at the bar.

On Sunday, Washington, D.C. was all but shut down as roughly 25 white supremacists emerged from whatever crevasses they hide in, and marched to Lafayette Park on the anniversary of last year’s deadly rally in Charlottesville. They were dwarfed by hundreds of counter-protesters, violent agitators, and members of the press. CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon had much to say on the matter.
