Roy Wood Jr. kicked off the correspondents and contributors stretch of The Daily Show temp hosts on Comedy Central on Monday with the unoriginal idea that Republicans are racist, specifically condemning the “bullshit coming out of Florida.”

This wasn’t an April Fool’s joke.

“Girl Gone Wild” just got a whole lot more relevant. 

A few weeks ago word broke that a high school teacher in Eugene, Oregon, assigned an activity titled “Fantasy Story.” The assignment, given by Kirk Miller, instructed students to write about a sexual fantasy that didn’t involve having sex. Parents are pissed. 

The lesson here: don’t straddle students. Or don't send your kids to a school where there's the remotest possibility they'll be straddled.

Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart obsessively used the words “target” and “targeting” when describing GOP efforts to advance parental rights in education on Friday’s PBS NewsHour, claiming the whole thing is just a cover for going after “trans kids.”
