Oprah’s show Greenleaf, a drama featuring a Christian “megachurch” and the fallible humans behind it, has been all over the map when it comes to representing Christian values accurately. One minute, the show is depicting gay conversion therapy programs in a positive light. The next, it’s sending the message that Christians who don’t support gay marriage are “broken.”

Not even the fictional world is safe from the transgender trend. TVLand’s Lopez is one of the latest shows to bring up the ongoing fight for representing less than 1 percent of the population, but it may also be one of the few to take an honest look at how ridiculous it is for a change. 

Wednesday night’s episode of Survivor: Game Changers, “What Happened on Exile, Stays on Exile,” featured a shocking tribal council that saw gay man Jeff Varner out his fellow competitor Zeke Smith, who everyone knew as a gay man from the previous season Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X, as being transgender.

Wednesday night’s episode of Fox’s race drama, Shots Fired, “Hour 4: Truth,” revealed some key pieces of evidence behind the death of unarmed black teen Joey Campbell: a racist white sheriff, a racist white lieutenant, and a racist, mostly white police department.

Parents Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Mike (Neil Flynn) send their son Brick (Atticus Shaffer) off to “Wilderness Jesus Jam” camp to help him brush up on his knowledge of religion in preparation for his upcoming confirmation.

The Wednesday, April 5, episode of ABC’s conspiracy drama, Designated Survivor, may as well have been written by the Brady Campaign, or any one of Michael Bloomberg’s consortium of anti-Second Amendment organizations.
