South Park once again opened up their latest season by intentionally embroiling themselves in controversy over a touchy subject. Forget about depicting the Prophet Mohammed, the Comedy Central show's 22nd season began on Wednesday with 5 school shootings, all met with little reaction from the townsfolk.

Viewers of Dick Wolf’s Law & Order spinoffs knew better than to expect anything original when it came to his new show on CBS, FBI. Sure enough, it didn’t take very long at all for the old tired liberal TV tropes to appear on the September 25 series pilot.

In Wednesday's episode, "The Gang Beats Boggs: Ladies Reboot," the women of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia do the Wade Boggs Challenge of drinking 70 beers on a cross-country flight. The twist is that they go on an all-female flight (except for one male attendant) to California for the Women’s March, complete with pussy hats and feminist jargon.

The opening monologue of the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, airing September 17 on NBC, included a little of the usual political slams worked into Hollywood entertainment award shows. The ceremony hosts, Saturday Night Live’s "Weekend Update" hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che, took swipes at Christian conservatives and Roseanne fans.

On paper, the new Amazon Prime original series Forever should be great. It stars Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph as June and Oscar, a middle-class married couple in California. Those two actors together should have made it a hilarious comedy. Instead, Forever was a rambling and pointless slog and, in the second episode, unnecessarily insulting towards Christians. 

Besides gay rights, Shameless, Showtime’s hit liberal show, has yet another social justice cause to champion. This time it's equal pay.

The USA Network show The Purge, based off the horror movie franchise of the same title, can never be accused of subtlety. It continues to push a liberal agenda in the second episode, this time blaming small government for the Purge.

Shameless, the hit Showtime series, has had its fair share of Christian bashing throughout the years. Fans of Chelsea Handler and Michelle Wolf should rejoice. While Netflix had the good sense to cancel those shows, Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman has somehow returned despite a horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad first season. For a show that claims to “love” America, it sure hates a good part of it.

FX’s new show Mayans MC is a spinoff of the biker drama Sons of Anarchy, which finished its seven-season run almost four years ago. That connection seems fitting as the new series covers many of the same issues, such as gruesome violence and a love for gun deaths.
