During MSNBC’s 3 p.m. ET hour on Wednesday, anchor Ali Velshi breathlessly made a sweeping declaration to viewers: “It certainly feels like we’re in the opening stages of a devastating political chapter in American history. Evidence is mounting for the President’s meddling in the Russia probe.”

On the heels of his plea to stop talking about a Democrat Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal, CNN Politics editor-at-large Chris Cillizza informed readers on Wednesday to not get their hopes up that President Trump’s fairly successful foreign trip will translate at home when he returns with the Russia investigation surging back (translation: the media will keep destroying him).

According to Matt Lauer, the murderous fictional president portrayed by Kevin Spacey on the Netflix series  House of Cards is “tame” in comparison to Donald Trump’s presidency. Interviewing the actor on Wednesday’s NBC Today, Lauer wondered: “...did you ever imagine that there would come a time in real-life politics that would make the plot lines of your show seem tame?”

On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews was in tip-top shape when it comes to spouting off wacky quotes, suggesting print journalists are “heroes,” John Brennan is a “patriot,” and admitting he had no clue who Ariana Grande was before Monday night.  

Appearing as a guest on Monday's Hardball, liberal MSNBC political analyst Ron Reagan claimed that "patriots" and "true Americans" will support impeaching President Donald Trump, whom he called a "national security threat" and a "dangerious individual." The liberal analyst went on to assert that those who do not do so are "engaged in behavior that can only be described as 'treasonable.'"

As the news was unfolding out of Manchester, England on Monday night with what we now know was an act of radical Islamic terrorism, the 7:00 p.m. Eastern hours of CNN and MSNBC felt that it was more important to spoon-feed viewers the latest bombshell reports about President Trump and the intelligence community.   

On Monday and Tuesday, the broadcast networks all read from the same liberal script as anchors and correspondents blasted the Trump administration’s proposed budget for making “deep cuts” to “social safety nets” that would be “especially cruel” to the poor. Not once was the nation’s nearly $20 trillion debt mentioned in any of the one-sided coverage.

While the scene in England’s Manchester Arena was still a crime scene following Tuesday night’s terror attack, frequent MSNBC guest, The Atlantic writer, and former Bush administration official David Frum thought it was crucial to tie the bombing to President Trump’s intelligence leak.

Following at joint press conference between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, Andrea Mitchell could not conceal her disgust at the meeting. The MSNBC anchor and NBC Chief Foreign Correspondent first hammered Trump for not putting enough “pressure” on Israel, then denounced Netanyahu for supposedly taking a “slap” at former President Barack Obama.
