It was inevitable that with the 80th anniversary commemorations of the D-Day landings in France, MSNBC’s Morning Joe would politicize possibly the last major anniversary with living veterans by attacking Republicans. Sure enough, co-host Mika Brzezinski did precisely that on Thursday, as she demanded, “with respect,” that party leaders “open their hearts to the concept of democracy.”

As June rolls on, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel lamented on Wednesday that Pride Month gives conservatives an excuse to “spew poison.” Kimmel’s answer to this was to mock the conservative response to Peacock’s Queer Planet documentary with an ad for “The Straight Zoo,” complete with footage of gorilla and donkey sex.

Inside Politics host and upcoming CNN presidential debate moderator Dana Bash worried on Wednesday that “baseless claims” against the Department of Justice by Republicans could hurt Democrats from President Joe Biden on down.
