After being suspended for paraphrasing an iconic line from Ralph Waldo Emerson, James Woods announced he is done with Twitter. The conservative actor was upset that the platform deleted a tweet of his amid widespread outrage over censorship and deplatforming of conservatives.

An op-ed written by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes in the New York Times expressed a resolve to “break up Facebook.” In the lengthy article , Hughes addressed many of the company’s ills, including Facebook’s privacy scandals and the concept that Facebook helped Donald Trump become president.

Is it possible for someone to be banned more than once in a week? The answer, according to Twitter, is yes. Conservative pundit and prolific author David Horowitz was suspended from Twitter in April, but appealed and was back online on May 7.  

Instagram is testing the same model of censorship as its sister company, Facebook. Poynter, the liberal, Soros-funded fact-checking institute that verifies all fact-checking organizations for Facebook, announced May 6 that Instagram was testing shadowbanning all “disinformation” on its platform.

There are parody accounts and satire accounts on Twitter for almost every politician, red or blue. But not for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Twitter removed a parody account (that clearly stated multiple times on the account page that it was a parody) for “creating fake and misleading accounts.” The account owner, Michael Morrison, was also “permanently suspended.”

Recently deplatformed activist Laura Loomer showed up to Facebook’s lobby, skewering the company for showing solidarity for everybody but Jewish and Christian people. A poster, possibly handmade by a local worker, hangs in the lobby right next to the entrance. Claremont Institute President Ryan P. Williams tweeted that his organization’s advertisements are being blocked on bogus charges.
