With the results of the midterm election still unknown, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel was forced to recycle some of his standard material during his live Tuesday show. With the help of a Gospel choir called “The Silver Lining Singers,” Kimmel blasted the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision and attacked Herschel Walker as “really dumb.”

NPR was roundly bashed on Twitter on Election Night for its florid spin against Arizona's Republican gubernatorial nominee, Kari Lake. The Republicans are election deniers, the Democrats defend election integrity. That spin is tidy. 

Following a disappointing night full of failures (and some highs) for Republicans, the Wednesday morning’s broadcast network news shows each moments of gloating and outright laughter that included claims such as country was reminded to not “bet against Joe Biden,” that January 6 mattered, and voters bought the narrative that Republicans were tied to the Paul Pelosi attack.

Joe Scarborough and the rest of the cast of MSNBC’s Morning Joe spiked the football on Wednesday as they opened the show by laughing at the GOP’s disappointing results. Scarborough, specifically inflated GOP expectations so he could compare Kevin McCarthy to Liz Truss, despite the results still being unknown.

We have witnessed two years of journalism centered around the notion that Republican Party was a collective of violent election-denying rioters and Jim Crow segregationists trying to suppress the black vote. Somehow, journalists find it shocking that the country is polarized.

NBC senior national correspondent Tom Llamas said it best Tuesday night when he noted “Democrats would love these kind of numbers anywhere, specifically Florida,” in response to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis winning a majority of Latinos in his runaway victory against Democrat Charlie Crist; a bright spot in what turned out to be wet blanket Election Day for Republicans.

In the immediate aftermath of the Republican victory in North Carolina in which Ted Budd defeated Democrat Cheri Beasley, MSNBC's Joy Reid expressed her disappointment in the Democrat Party for not investing more in the race and deciding not to send former President Barack Obama there to campaign for Beasley. 

After spending hour after hour sticking to horse race results and CNN’s magic walls, the liberal network’s first piece of analysis reminded us of why they’re still a laughing stock of a network as a trio of lefties marveled at Democrats winning back governors mansions in some of the deepest blue states with “stellar” Wes Moore in Maryland and lesbian Maura Healey in Massachusetts.

With the red tsunami just beginning to swell on Election Day, with only a few races called early in the night, CBS was already in damage control mode. They insisted that despite Republicans taking control of the House, they wouldn’t have a mandate from Americans to investigate aspects of the Biden administration.

Even before the race was officially called for Florida Republicans Ron DeSantis and Marco Rubio, MSNBC began losing it over the strong early results in the Hispanic county of Miami-Dade, which was a reliably solid Democrat county. 

The red tsunami was so apparent on Election Day that by 5 O’clock that evening – before the polls even closed – MSNBC was already calling the results in Georgia illegitimate.
