On MSNBC's the weekend, leftist NBC historian Michael Beschloss paints an apocalyptic picture of what a Trump presidency would be: murder, arson, endless dictatorship, and anarchy.

The Democrat-allied media energetically present Trump's prosecutors as nonpartisans enforcing a "rule of law." They couldn't possibly be prosecuting Trump to advance their career among Democrats. But hours after the guilty verdicts for Trump, Politico gushed "Alvin Bragg sealed his place in Democratic lore," and "now, Bragg can write his own political ticket."

In the 20 years since his death, journalists have praised Ronald Reagan as a way to disparage today's conservatives. But a look at the record shows the media routinely derided both Reagan and his policies.

Taxpayer-funded PBS is just like CNN or MSNBC as it paints the Republicans as falling off a "far-right" cliff, while the Democrats have no "far left" extreme. The PBS NewsHour brought on disgruntled ex-Republican Joe Walsh to slam one primary challenger in Texas as a "far-right, gun-loving kook." So much for civility on PBS.

On MSNBC's The Weekend, co-host Alicia Menendez tees up Michael Cohen, paraphrasing what Cohen had told Nicolle Wallace the day before, to say that he'll never get peace so long as Donald Trump is "with us," i.e., alive. 

Amanpour & Co., which airs on CNN International and taxpayer-supported PBS, aired a conversation between host Christiane Amanpour and Jelani Cobb, the dean of Columbia Journalism School, both fretting over the perils of Trump and bringing the Joe McCarthy era into the discussion (you know it's serious when journalists bring up the Red Scare).

Anyone whose memory has not been washed clean can recall the liberal media’s not-so-long-ago frequent warnings about threats to democracy.
