The mob violence that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday was deplorable and disgusting. It is the antithesis of a free society that wishes to remain free. Any supporter of President Trump and his policies must denounce this horror with even more vehemence than they denounced the riots of last summer, but the two are not equivalent.

Appearing on Wednesday’s Tonight Show for a segment aired early Thursday morning, left-wing partisan MSNBC anchor Katy Tur claimed that “decades” of conservatism somehow caused the horrific assault on the U.S. Capitol. She rushed to exploit the disgraceful event and claim that “Rush Limbaugh” and “Fox News” were to blame.

The fact that scores of conservatives and Republicans have come out and condemned both the violence at the Capitol on Wednesday, as well Donald Trump himself, is apparently lost on MSNBC. As Rachel Maddow smeared the entire GOP as “fascist,” “violent, insurrectionist party.” Joy Reid mocked Republican condemnations, saying they “don’t matter.” 

GOP congressman Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) witnessed this Trump supporter’s shooting and spoke to George Stephanopoulos about the events of yesterday during the first hour of GMA, Thursday morning. While the interview started out cordial, tension rose after Stephanopoulos tried to egg Mullin to blame the riot on President Trump.

CNN interview with a "lifelong Republican" in Georgia who gives a litany of very liberal reasons as to why he is suddenly voting for a Democrat senatorial candidate is widely mocked. It turns out Joe Swaney of Smyrna, Georgia is a former PR man for Cartoon Network, another AT&T property.

On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough went on an impassioned speech about yesterday's events. In the course of his broadside, Scarborough said, "He should be arrested today. He should be sent to jail today for insurrection against the United States of America."
