Chuck Todd on Thursday sadly criticized the poor optics of Anthony Fauci pleading the fifth amendment over a hundred times during his Senate hearing last week. Ironically, Todd during his appearance on CNN's News Central seemed to have forgotten the incredibly poor Covid optics of his own namely his July 1, 2021 finger wagging shtick in which he angrily denounced, with misinformation, those in the audience who still hadn't gotten the Covid vaccine.
First let us look at Todd's criticism of Fauci pleading the Fifth at the Senate hearing.

TODD: I'll be honest with you. I thought Anthony Fauci made a huge mistake in pleading the Fifth. I think you hand a talking point. I think the average person hears that and thinks, oh, maybe he does have something to hide. Maybe he is fearful of something. And, you know, knowing how the current world of Washington works, I understand why a lawyer gave Tony Fauci the advice to say take the Fifth.
Gigantic mistake. And it's a terrible end to his legacy. And I'm sorry it happened.
I get it. I understand the risk averseness that lawyers can do sometimes. But I think it was a PR mistake, and I really think it harmed the perception of public health, Brianna.
You know what else "harmed the perception of public health," Chuck? Your own Covid misinformation in which you self-righteously scolded the audience in a finger wagging tirade on MTP Daily on July 1, 2021. It must be embarrassing for Chuck Todd to see himself in the midst of an incorrect shame rage but if he is going to criticize the optics of Fauci pleading the Fifth, then he needs to address his own incredibly poor optics.
Please get vaccinated. If you know someone who is not vaccinated, find a way to convince them to get vaccinated. Literally the only people dying are the unvaccinated. For those spreading misinformation, shame on you. Shame on you. People are needlessly dying because of your misinformation. Think about it. I don’t know how some of you sleep at night who are doing this for a living on television.
So when does Chuck Todd own up to his own Covid misinformation? Contrary to what he stated, people who were vaccinated also died from Covid. Also despite what Fauci claimed, the natural immunity people attained after a bout with Covid was more effective and safer than vaccines.
So shame on you, Chuck. Shame on you for spreading misinformation. I don't know how you sleep at night while making a living on television without owning up to your Covid misinformation.
