ABC’s “bona fide news program” The View was in party mode on Wednesday as the openly joined Democrats in “celebrating” their “blumani” electoral wins in the 2026 midterms. They didn’t even try to hide their excitement as they looked forward to Democrats taking control of the House and Senate next year and the collapse of the MAGA movement. They even told Democrats that they “put them in [power],” and did a victory lap with one candidate they proudly promoted on the show.
“I wanted to give the American people their flowers,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg beamed as she showed off her flower-patterned overalls. “It is due to the American public, to the American voters that we are sitting and smiling and celebrating as we are.”
Goldberg noted that, “a lot of history was made at the polls last night with nationwide midterm election wins for Democrats who took control of both the House and the Senate,” but the image of the candidates she showed didn’t include Governor-elect Byron Donalds (R-FL). Though he would be brought up later, much to co-host Ana Navarro’s chagrin.

Fake Republican co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin was on cloud nine. “I mean, this was a total and complete repudiation of Donald Trump's presidency and his policies. And I want to say I think this is the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement,” she touted.
“As a resistance Republican whose been waiting for this moment, I am so excited for what the future could hold,” she flashed her true colors. “I'm ready to see new leadership.”
Farah Griffin took shots at two rumored 2028 hopefuls from the Trump administration, one of whom she used to like. “And by the way, J.D. Vance, your 2020 [sic] shots just went down the toilet. Marco Rubio, it’s going to look real rough for you,” she chided.

Adding: “We’re going to be looking beyond this MAGA movement because it failed us and turned the deepest red pockets in the country blue for the first time in some like more our lifetimes. It is absolutely wild. The country said, ‘we do not want this.’ And I hope the White House hears it.”
Goldberg wrapped up their initial election reactions with “A note to the Democrats.” “We put you in to take care of business,” she declared as she preemptively scolded them for any public party squabbles that could arise. “We don't want to know what your backbiting fighting is. We don't want to hear it. You can kvetch at each other after you take care of the people's business.”

Their first post-election guest was Texas Senator-elect James Talarico, whose candidacy they repeatedly promoted on the public broadcast spectrum. “Plus, Senator-elect James Talarico just helped flip Texas blue and he’s doing a victory lap on The View,” boasted the voiceover in the show’s opening tease.
Following their gooey interview with Talarico, Goldberg left him with a fawning goodbye. “Well, senator-elect, congratulations, man. We, we were thrilled with your win. We just - it was - you are where you should be,” she gushed.

Goldberg let her excitement get the better of her. It’s another instance of ABC’s purported ‘bona fide news program’ boldly saying the quiet part out loud and admitting that the show was 100 percent meant to be vector to push Democratic Party propaganda to the American people to influence elections.
The View and ABC were already under intense scrutiny from the Federal Communication Commission before Goldberg’s comments and they’re likely to be used against the network in any potential action by the commission.

[Cheers and applause]
I am covered in flowers.
JOY BEHAR: Yes. Very cute.
GOLDBERG: It is - It is due to the American public, to the American voters that we are sitting and smiling and celebrating as we are. This was not, as a lot of folks have been saying, not left nor right, this was American. This was American.
[Applause]
And a lot, a lot of history was made at the polls last night with nationwide midterm election wins for Democrats who took control of both the House and the Senate.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I mean, this was a total and complete repudiation of Donald Trump's presidency and his policies. And I want to say I think this is the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement. If you are someone - And by the way, today Donald Trump is officially a lame duck president. If you are someone like --
[Someone quacking]
BEHAR: We call him lame Donald Duck?
[Applause and laughter]
FARAH GRIFFIN: - who has been waiting for this fever to break. They have been waiting for Republicans to wake up and realize if you alienate the broadest swaths of the country, if you treat people without dignity, without humanely -
BEHAR: They don’t like him.
FARAH GRIFFIN: If you aren’t passing policies. They are eventually the pendulum always swings in American politics.
As a resistance Republican whose been waiting for this moment, I am so excited for what the future could hold. Because I don't believe in these tariffs that have cost people all -- more money than we can afford. The war in Iran is a disaster. The ICE tactics that we’ve seen, the enforcement are inhumane and against my values. I'm ready to see new leadership.
And by the way, J.D. Vance, your 2020 [sic] shots just went down the toilet. Marco Rubio, it’s going to look real rough for you.
BEHAR: Really.
FARAH GRIFFIN: We’re going to be looking beyond this MAGA movement because it failed us and turned the deepest red pockets in the country blue for the first time in some like more our lifetimes. It is absolutely wild. The country said, ‘we do not want this.’ And I hope the White House hears it.

GOLDBERG: Well, senator-elect, congratulations, man. We, we were thrilled with your win. We just - it was - you are where you should be. So thank you for joining us. Please come back when you're a little - when you've had more rest and come and sit at the table again. Let's talk some more.
SEN.-ELECT JAMES TALARICO (D-TX): I would love that.
GOLDBERG: We'll be right back.
