On day three of the fight for speaker of the House Thursday, the liberal ladies of ABC's The View were fed up with the repeated rounds of voting as Republican infighting dragged it out. Their self-serving solution was to have Republicans just capitulate to the left and vote for either Democratic New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries or allow Democrats to pick which “moderate” Republican they wanted.
Setting the tone early, Whoopi Goldberg began by suggesting Congressman Kevin McCarthy was just as “dangerous” to life, or more so, than the bomb cyclone:

We want to start by telling everyone who may be impacted by this bomb cyclone that is slamming into California right now, do whatever you need to do to stay safe. They are not fooling around. A state of emergency has been declared so listen to everything that officials are advising because they're letting -- they want you to know this could be very dangerous for a lot of people. That being said, what can be even more dangerous for a lot of people is this. Kevin McCarthy.
She also falsely suggested McCarthy was selling his children and body parts for votes. “He is making promises of concessions. I mean, he's promising his children. He's saying, you know, I'll give you a heart valve if you need it. Whatever you need, make me the one,” she mocked.
Continuing to earn her keep as a faux conservative on the show, Alyssa Farah Griffin built off of Whoopi and claimed McCarthy had given away a kidney to be speaker. “So, it's going to get to a point, and this is where I would love to see Democrats and Republicans come together,” she proclaimed, arguing that McCarthy’s deal-making wouldn’t be enough.
Farah Griffin’s solution was to hand off the GOP nomination process to far-left members of Congress and let them have a say:
Ro Khanna, a very progressive member of the left has said he would be willing to support someone like a Mike Gallagher, a Fred Upton, somebody who is a moderate Republican if they're some agreements that there are actually going to move bills to help the American people.
“But if there's enough Democratic votes, they don't need the far-right,” she argued.
Sara Haines had a similar idea, acknowledging that Republicans were going to have the majority and Democrats should work with them to pick a speaker. She wanted them to “come in now before they have consensus because if you can get Democrats to say, we will vote for your Republican if it's someone we can agree on…”
This didn’t sit well with racist Sunny Hostin, who argued Republicans should vote for Jeffries, falsely calling him a “moderate.” Haines denounced that idea as political and not helpful to the American people (click “expand”):
HOSTIN: I think the Democrats are very united, and I don't think the Democrats are going to do that. I don't think they should. They should allow their chaos to reign because that's their own making.
HAINES: That’s political though. That does not help the people.
So this is what I’m saying; is, first vote is symbolic, Democrats come together and show you're united, awesome. Now, feed on the opportunity to come in and have a say on who this person is.
HOSTIN: Then Republicans should vote for Hakeem Jeffries.
“The problem is they can't win this chess game with the numbers they have. So, it’s like, take the lesser of evils. Your choice was Hakeem. You can't get him through on numbers. Now, get someone you can have a say in, and solve the [mouths “fucking”] problem,” she declared in frustration.

And far-right opponents like Lauren Boebert who took her arguments from the House floor to Hannity last night, it's a whole thing.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: My prediction remains; Kevin McCarthy is giving them the kitchen sink, he’s given them a kidney, anything that he can. I don't see how he can pull it off. I just don't see how he can. There are five who are so intractable he's not going to move them. So, it's going to get to a point, and this is where I would love to see Democrats and Republicans come together.
