The View: Only Drunks Think Herschel Walker Did Well in GA Debate!

October 17th, 2022 2:51 PM

Monday was the first chance the ladies of ABC’s The View had to spout off about the Georgia Senate debate between Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker last Friday. While Sunny Hostin managed to keep racist comments out of her mouth and was impressed with Walker, the majority of the panel couldn’t believe their ears and suggested Hostin must have been drunk because Walker only looked good because the bar was “SO low."

After playing edited clips of the debate, co-host Whoopi Goldberg suggested the people saying Walker did well or won were only giving him sympathy points. “Now, some people are saying that Walker did better than they expected. You know, I guess when the bar is so low, we're happy to see folks do well at all,” she proclaimed.

Echoing their baseless claims from last week, co-host Sunny Hostin announced her father was surprised that Walker doesn’t have CTE brain damage. She also said Walker did well and worried that he’ll pick up voters:

I did tell you, I watched it with my father. And or us, it was appointment television seeing these two black men represent Georgia which could very well change the Senate. He did so much better than I thought he did that I thought he gained votes and I'm not talking about Warnock. I'm talking about Walker.

I mean, my father said, “maybe he doesn't have CTE.” That was one of the first things that my father thought in listening to the way he was able to discuss issues.

This triggered co-host Sara Haines, who immediately interrupted to suggest “the bar was so low!” Goldberg jumped in just as quick with a ridiculous criticism that she hasn’t mastered: “I wouldn’t – I wouldn't call it ‘discuss issues.’ Come on now! It was a little – it was a little stuttery for me.”

Your criticism was a little stuttery to the rest of us, Whoopi.

“It felt that way. We watched it and left thinking Warnock underperformed and that Walker overperformed,” Hostin insisted. Haines continued to teardown Walker by crying about supposedly different standards for the candidates. Warnock was supposedly “up against the higher standard” while Walker had “pretty low standards.”

Hostin argued that it was “pretty smart” of Walker to tie Warnock to Biden and that “He looked like he had been prepped really well.” But she also pushed the BIG LIE that Georgia was engaging in voter suppression.

But before Hostin could finish her comment, raging faux Republican Ana Navarro interrupted to suggest Hostin must have been drunk since she thought Walker did well, despite admitting she never watched the debate):

NAVARRO(interrupting): Girl, I don't know what you were drinking when you watched that debate because --

HOSTIN: I really felt that way.

NAVARRO: Because I saw the clips and I thought he sounded—

HOSTIN: Clips, but not the entire debate.

NAVARRO: No, I didn't watch the debate because I was out with Whoopi. We were out at the wine and food festival in New York having a good time.

“I saw the clips and in the clips, he couldn't, you know, he didn't have a coherent thought. He couldn't complete his sentences and he was lying again,” she shouted.

Clearly, Navarro doesn’t watch clips of President Joe Biden and Pennsylvania Senate candidate and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman(D).

While Goldberg, Haines, and Navarro were the three who felt Warnock won, and Hostin as the lone Walker touter, faux Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin essentially cast a vote of “present” since she didn’t have anything of substance to add about their debate.

This hate for Herschel Walker was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Crest and Purina. Their contact information is linked.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Now, some people are saying that Walker did better than they expected. You know, I guess when the bar is so low, we're happy to see folks do well at all.

SUNNY HOSTIN: Yeah.

GOLDBERG: So, I mean, you know, what do you think happened?

SARA HAINES: But wasn’t – the bar was so low!

GOLDBERG: I wouldn’t – I wouldn't call it “discuss issues.” Come on now! It was a little – it was a little stuttery for me.

HOSTIN: It felt that way. We watched it and left thinking Warnock underperformed and that Walker over performed.

HIANES: But Senator Warnock was up against the higher standard. I think coming in the coverage of Herschel Walker has been revealing how many times he's lied about things that can immediately be proven wrong and false, and he just keeps going. So, I think my guess would be that when you came in, you had pretty low standards for him.

HOSTIN: We did, but I still have to say, I mean, that I think that trying to tie Warnock to Biden's low approval was pretty smart. He looked like he had been prepped really well. And ultimately, you know, we've got all of these voting restrictions in Georgia. It's going to make it very difficult for people to vote.

ANA NAVARRO (interrupting): Girl, I don't know what you were drinking when you watched that debate because --
