The vile coven of ABC’s The View were largely unwavering in their hatred and rhetoric towards the conservative members of the Supreme Court on Thursday, after one of their liberal ilk tried to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh the previous morning. Amid paying lip service to the idea of being “more careful” to what’s being said, they asserted it was happening on “both sides” and decried that Republicans wanted to increase the security detail for justices, suggesting they should send “thoughts and prayers” instead.
“But in this climate, don't we all have to, like, take a beat and really pay attention from both sides? Because we both are guilty of it. Both sides are guilty of doing this,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg proclaimed when they finally got around to the assassination attempt in the B-block. “There are consequences to what you say, and you should be more careful.”
Of course, this came nearly a month to the day after The View encouraged angry mobs of leftists to target the homes of conservative justices after a liberal hate group doxxed their addresses. “[Justice Samuel Alito] cannot leave the house easily. So maybe that's a good lesson for them,” co-host Joy Behar said at the time.
And on Thursday, Behar’s desire for the conservative justices to feel unsafe in their homes was seemingly unmoved by the assassination attempt as she decried Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) calls for increased security (she also seemed to think he was a representative in the House):
BEHAR: The House of – what's his face, McConnell. He's demanding that the House pass security protections for Supreme Court justices, quote, unquote, “before the sun sets today.”
GOLDBERG: Well, they have protections.
BEHAR: But nothing on Uvalde so far, and nothing on Buffalo, and it's been at least a month and a half since Buffalo or something. And two weeks since these kids got killed. He's worried about, you know, the Supreme Court. That is his urgency!
Self-described Republican Ana Navarro began to say “We should be worried about the Supreme Court,” only to be interrupted by Goldberg and her both-sides-ism, saying, “We should be worried about everybody.”
But Navarro would go on to take up Behar’s argument and decry increased security, and apparently suggesting they should get “thoughts and prayers” like those involved in school shootings:
NAVARRO: And what I want to know is, how come the reaction is immediate call for legislation?
BEHAR: That's what I just said.
NAVARRO: But our children get thoughts and prayers?
“What's good for the goose is good for the gander,” Goldberg declared in agreement. “None of us should be doing it. That's the bottom line. Y'all stop doing it. We'll stop doing it,” she added, speaking about the use violent rhetoric.
Bitter and mentally unstable co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to claim McConnell was “intellectually dishonest” and a “filthy liar” for calling out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s 2020 threat against Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch, where he warned they will “unleash the whirlwind” and “pay the price” for overturning Roe v. Wade.
She went on to falsely claim the wannabe assassin was angry about the leaking of the draft opinion that would overturn Roe rather than Kavanaugh’s position on the issue. “He said the reason that he showed up at Justice Kavanaugh's home is because he was upset about the leak, the Supreme Court opinion's leak. Not about what Schumer said two years ago. So, [McConnell’s] politicizing it,” she huffed.
McConnell is not the filthy liar in this situation.

SUNNY HOSTIN: But the thing is Mitch McConnell is being really intellectually dishonest. Because if you look at--
GOLDBERG: That's not new.

HOSTIN: That's true.
BEHAR: That's his personality.
HOSTIN: I’ve said it before, he's a filthy liar. But the bottom line is, if you look at the – listen to what this young man who is clearly troubled said to the police. He said the reason that he showed up at Justice Kavanaugh's home is because he was upset about the leak, the Supreme Court opinion's leak. Not about what Schumer said two years ago. So, he's politicizing it.
BEHAR: They have to pull something out of their behinds.
NAVARRO: Nobody pays attention to what Schumer said two days ago.
