Joe Scarborough has once again proved that there is virtually nothing that the liberal media can't spin into a positive for one of its own. On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough claimed that Joe Biden having told a construction worker that he was "full of s---" on gun control proved both Biden's humanity, and that he was a "fighter."
Scarborough's comment came in response to Mike Barnicle's assertion that in recent times, Biden is resonating with voters as he demonstrates his "humanity, empathy, stability and experience."
A more balanced view would be that Biden's recent outbursts against voters are indicative of someone who—lacking the cognitive resources to respond substantively when challenged—resorts to schoolyard slurs. If Scarborough thinks it's hilarious that Republicans are taking offense at Biden's rudeness (considering the president), when why won't he disapprove of rudeness when it comes to MSNBC's side of the fence?
MIKE BARNICLE: I think when you listen to Joe, when you see Joe now in the past ten days, two weeks, out in the campaign trail, you see something that resonates with voters. And it’s pretty simple. It’s humanity, it’s empathy, it’s stability, and experience.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Talk — let’s talk about humanity, Mike, and talk about that moment [chuckles] where somebody made the mistake of saying he was going to take all their guns away. And I know Republicans just jumped on it. Oh, my God, can you believe a political figure using crass language? I mean come on, seriously? Look in the mirror, folks. But Biden yesterday showed the other side of his humanity, and that is, he’s a fighter.
BARNICLE: He’s a fighter, he has the experience.
Scarborough literally laughed off the construction worker's claim that Biden intends to take people's guns away. The truth is that Biden recently said that if elected, he would appoint Beto O'Rourke to "lead" the effort on gun control. Beto: the guy who said, "hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47."
